"Chels," Joe muttered, steam pouring from his mouth and into the cool winter's air.

I looked up at his honey gold eyes, afraid to hear the words that would pour from his perfect pink lips. I braced myself for the uncontrolled anger I rightfully deserved. After what I had done? I deserve every acid-covered word that would fly from his frowning mouth.

"Chels I'm not mad." He said forcing my chin up gently with two fingers. "In fact I should thank you."

"Wh…what?" I stuttered, my piercing blue eyes widening in shock.

Joe chuckled shaking his head. "You were right about Ashley." He said tears brimming his eyes. "I caught her kissing Justin in the library after school today." A silent tear escaped down his rosy cheek.

"Joe…I'm…I don't know what to say." I muttered hating Ashley with every fiber of my being for making Joe cry.

"How about 'I told you so'?" he muttered darkly as his tears flowed freely.

I shook my head and gently wiped his tears from his cheeks. His head arched so his cheek was nuzzling my hand. I looked up into his eyes once again. He bit his bottom lip then he began to shudder.

"Oh Joe." I whispered wrapping my arms around his torso, rubbing his back in calming circles as he sobbed onto my shoulder, his buff arms clinging to me.

When he finally calmed down he pulled away slowly studying my face. I smiled at him affectionately. He grinned weakly back. Before I knew it his lips had crashed into mine. It wasn't much just a tender brushing of our lips. He looked at me questioningly.

"Joe?" I whispered.

"Yeah?" He whispered back, his voice still shaky from crying not moments ago.

"I love you." I said

"I Love you to Chelsea." He whispered back, kissing me again.
