Love. Was that really what this was? Or was it just an attempt to fit the profile of normalcy she'd been wanting for a long time now?

Too much had happened. Too much for her to deal with the big questions tonight.

But then, that's all there ever were for her.

Love. How could that be? How could clinging and spying be truly what she wanted?

She hadn't been completely truthful in the beginning, so she told herself there were good reasons for his behaviour.

Then one little word tossed her craft so, she felt she was drowning.

Isn't this the way it is supposed to feel? Shouldn't Pete be the one at her side right now?

It couldn't be for Them. She knew that. It had always been safe because it wasn't possible. It still wasn't.

But she needed more.

She had love, after all.

She deserved respect.
