The stretch of the Orre desert stood before him in a new light. Of course he rode through the desert on his high–tech yet strangely designed motorbike thousands of times of various missions but this was different. After all he just betrayed his former colleagues he's been with for nearly nine years. Not that he regrets it or anything. In fact he was thrilled and ashamed he did not leave them earlier.

Wes didn't exactly came from a sheltered childhood. He was born in a poor rundown village that no longer exists. Wes's old home was already falling into ruin by the time he was walking. He barely remembers his parents only he remembers his father was a huge build and worked in the nearby mines and his mother was a gentle soul. One day they never came home. Wes then spent most of his childhood living in his ruined home and on the streets, making a living of stealing from his neighbours to feed himself and some spare clothing (since he didn't know how to wash back then) It became difficult to survive when the people left after supplies grew limited and Wes was lucky to catch a ride with some travellers heading north toward the forested areas of Orre.

It was there he met his two best friends espeon and umbreon when they were both eevee's, although he didn't meet them at the same time. He met umbreon on the way north and espeon he met a few weeks later. By the time he was eight years old he was prowling on the streets not far from Pyrite Town. Around that time he battled a lot and rarely did he lose. The summer of his eighth year did his eevee's evolve into the forms they walk in today.

It wasn't long after that that Wes was picked off the streets by his former boss, Gonzap. For over nine years, the light blonde-silver haired boy worked as a Snagem member, rising up the ranks as a Snagger, snagging Pokemon from their trainers without fail. Gonzap became almost a father figure to him.

Almost.

But Wes learned a great deal of battling and some self defense from him. He was the closest thing to father he had for years. But that soon changed

Wes never saw the Pokemon he caught after he snagged them but at the time he didn't concern himself. However the faces of the trainers he snagged from, those faces he never forgot.

Their sad, angry, horrified expressions.

Why did a trainer who was cruel to their Pokemon weep after losing them. These thoughts made Wes doubt his purpose in the Team, his actions. Eventually after seeing his bald-headed team members one mission use the Pokemon he Snagged as weapons and against their former trainers did he realize too late that it was all a lie....and he helped them achieve their goal. He didn't where the rest were shipped off two, but he could prevent anymore being taken.

So that night he plotted his ultimate plan. He created small explosives and planted them around the base and on the Snag machines. You don't spend nine years in Team Snagem and learn nothing. Since he was the best Snagger he was allowed access to the teachings of the higher rank Snagem members and learned to hack computers, explosives, machinery and other useful talents.

After he planted the bombs he waited till morning. With his bike parked not far from the entrance he let out his first bomb, quickly grabbing the portable snag machine as the two larger ones were burned. Just as he was making his escape, his former members and boss were hot on his tail...too little too late.

By that time Wes and his Umbreon, who was by his side the whole time he set off the bomb, leapt on his bike and started the machine, speeding off before any of the men could reach. Just before he left the canyon he pulled out a small device with a button, leaving the base in ruins.

And here he was now, on the road to a new life and where his journey begins.

Pokemon colossuem belongs to Nintendo, and whatever else that published it.
