Sun and Moon (a 'Pokemon X/Y' fic)
Disc.: I will never ever own a great series like this one, so for now I'll to settle on writing fics like this one.
A/N: So, after the previous fic 'Crimson and Aqua' did so well, I've decided to write the sequel that skips only a little while after the end of the first one; this will follow Luca and Wallace as they try have a vacation in Kalos only to be pulled into the whole business with Team Flare…they might meet Ash and his friends at some point, I'm also thinking of trying out the AshxClemont pairing for this fic…but no more revealing before the fic actually starts, or you won't wanna read it.
Summary: Luca and Wallace go to Kalos to have a nice vacation from their duties of Champion and Gym Leader, only to be pulled into trying to stop Team Flare from ruling the Region by using the power of a banished weapon and the Kalos Region's two Legendary Pokemon after the Lake Spirits visit Luca in his dreams…what could this mean for our two lovers? And what does Xerneas have to do with all this?

Ch.1- Spirit Dreams
The sky over the Kalos Region was clear and cloudless, the sun warming everything beneath its' gaze just like it did every other day of the year all over the world. The many cities, from Lumiose to Anistar, also felt the warmth of the sun as it blessed the world with light and energy that helped all plant life as well as Grass Type Pokemon to grow and thrive. The people that inhabited the Kalos Region went about their usual routines, completely unaware that something terrible would befall them soon.
(King's Forest)
The sun streamed through the trees of the King's Forest and let patches of light find their way through, the many Pokemon that lived there waking up to begin their daily routines like the many humans that shared the Region with them. As a Spring form Deerling emerged from her den to sip the water from a nearby river, the ground beneath her feet began rumbling violently and she caught a glimpse of a dark grey jeep driving across the ground followed by a few others like it. Above her head was a black helicopter that disturbed the cloudless serenity of the blue sky as well as the many Bird Pokemon flying above everyone's heads. As the vehicles kept plowing through the forest, the grass and plants were mown down beneath treaded tires that flattened everything beneath them.
After roughly 2 hours of driving, a few dozen men and women in flashy red suits piled out of the cars and around a massive white tree; the tree itself looked dead with white branches twisting upwards in crooked fashions, but when one of the men confirmed that the tree was indeed alive one of the other higher ranking Grunts smirked at hearing what he thought was good news.
The man in question was bald except for a small teardrop shaped tuft of bright orange-red hair sitting at the very front of his bald head. He pulled out a wireless walkie talkie and spoke to someone on the other line, the man nodding in affirmation until the line cut out and he began issuing orders to the other red suited Grunts with him. The men and women grabbed the cables that were dropped down from the helicopter and hooked them onto the tree's branches, the cuffs thicker and stronger than steel as they kept pulling until the huge white tree was forcefully yanked out of the ground.
The tree was then lifted into the air and placed aboard the helicopter, the tree thrumming with life as the Pokemon inside called out to anyone that was listening.
"Please…help me…someone, anyone…please, help me…"
(Cave of Origin, Hoenn Region)
The huge cave was sparkling with luminescent rocks and moss as three small Pokemon flew through it happily playing with each other. Mesprit was smiling widely as she sensed her brothers chasing her, Azelf being the closest and Uxie not far behind.
"I've almost got you, Meme!" Azelf called out to his sister, the other Pokemon's laughter reaching his ears.
"Sorry, Azy…you'll never catch me!"
"Guys, wait up!" Uxie called out when he felt his siblings getting further ahead of him, he never was good at keeping up with them no matter how hard he tried. As he flew through the cave, Uxie had felt his siblings stop and soon enough he saw them hovering there in the cave's center.
"Mesprit, Azelf…what's wrong?"
"Shh, quiet Uxie…Mesprit's sensing something." Azelf said as he held a hand up to shush his brother and not interrupt their sister.
The whole rest of the cave grew quiet as the grey and pink Pokemon allowed her mind to open up to anyone far away from Hoenn that wished to speak with her, Uxie and Azelf growing tense as Mesprit kept her eyes closed. After what felt like hours but was really only 45 minutes, Mesprit opened her eyes and looked at her brothers with worry marring her delicate features.
"Mesprit, what's wrong?" Uxie asked concernedly, Azelf looking at her with worry on his own face.
"I heard…a cry for help."
"From who?" Azelf asked, he was just as worried but also more cautious.
"Xerneas, he's in danger! We have to go to Kalos and see what's wrong with him!"
The three Lake Spirits flew through the sunlit sky, the many cities passing by beneath them as they headed to Kalos to find out what was wrong with their fellow Legendary Pokemon.
(2 hours later)
The three Lake Spirits found themselves weaving in and out between the many trees in the King's Forest, the same wooded place where Xerneas slept in the form of a great white tree that would appear dead but was actually alive. Uxie looked down and was surprised to find tire tracks embedded deep in the grass, his worry turning to panic as he heard the many concerned voices of the forest dwelling Pokemon as well as that of his siblings.
Azelf was talking with an old Sawsbuck whose antlers contained countless notches and even a few pieces missing as his mate and family were close by and speaking with Mesprit. When it was deemed safe, the old Sawsbuck named Reginald led the three lake spirits through the forest until they found the clearing where Xerneas slept empty and the ground tortured horribly. The ground where the roots were dug in was ripped apart and looked like it would start dying any moment, Mesprit looking saddened as well as worried as she turned to face her brothers with tears about to pour down her face.
"Mesprit?" Azelf asked his sister, her pain being felt by him and Uxie as well as the other Pokemon around them.
"We have to save Xerneas; he's been abducted…if we don't, this forest will surely die within the next few months."
Uxie and Azelf nodded at Mesprit before all three Lake Spirits flew off back to Hoenn, their minds actively searching for anyone who might hear them; their search finally ended and the Lake Spirits headed towards the one who might possibly be able to help them…all three Psychic Pokemon flying to Sootopolis City.
(Sootopolis City, Wallace and Lisia's House)
The teal haired Gym Leader had just finished packing the rest of his clothes when Luca walked in with a tray of tea and two cups, Wallace taking one of the cups and gratefully drinking the semi sweet brew. As the two lovers made sure they had everything packed up for their vacation, the brunette decided to leave Mightyena with his parents so she could help his mom keep an eye on the house.
Realizing that he was one Pokemon short, Wallace suggested that his young lover catch a Kalos native Pokemon to help liven his party up a bit. The lovers shared passionate kisses until they fell asleep, the teal haired man pulling his brunette lover close to his body and soon enough they were succumbing to the land of dreams until the morning came.
(Dreamscape)
Luca was currently relaxing on a hill with his teal haired lover, the two males completely content as the sky above their heads stayed cloudless and clear while a river ran nearby in a calming cadence. Wallace had his head in Luca's lap and the brunette boy was gently running his fingers through the older male's hair with a smile on each of their faces.
They would've kept this up until a small grey and pink Pokemon flew towards them, Luca's attention being taken from his lover and directed at the small Pokemon hovering in front of him with a saddened look on its' face.
"Can I help you? Perhaps you can tell me why you're sad?"
"I am Mesprit, one of the three Lake Spirits…I have come to you because one of our friends is in trouble and needs your help."
"Who is your friend?"
"A Pokemon called Xerneas, he's one of the Legendary Pokemon of the Kalos Region; he was taken from his home and must be returned within the next few months, or…" Mesprit trailed off here, which had Luca more than a little concerned.
"Or what? Please tell me, Mesprit."
"Or else…the King's Forest will die. So many Pokemon will be homeless, and the forest will become a lifeless wasteland where nothing could survive anymore; please, will you help Xerneas?" Mesprit asked concernedly, Luca reaching up and gently stroking the Pokemon's face with a smile settling onto his lips.
"Of course I will…perhaps my lover and I can both help you; we both love Pokemon, and we can't stand it when they suffer needlessly."
"Thank you so much, Champion of Hoenn. I must go now, for dawn will be here in a matter of hours; I will allow your mind to rest so that it can be prepared for the daunting task that lies ahead of you." Mesprit said before flying off and the whole dreamscape turned white, the peaceful image she'd seen falling away with the flash of white light as she left the sleeping Luca's mind.
(Outside Dreamscape)
Mesprit had taken her small hands off of the brunette boy's temples, a smile of relief settling onto her face as she flew out the open window and into the star filled night sky. The only other one who was aware of her presence was a very watchful Deoxys, his eyes watching the Lake Spirits fly off and sighing with relief when he saw that the three Psychic Pokemon weren't out to harm his Master and the teal haired Gym Leader's mate.
The Psychic Type Pokemon finally fell asleep outside so he could better protect the two males, his heart a little more at ease now that everything was quiet once again.
