Author: Hello everyone! You might be surprised to hear from me once again. And so soon after publishing the last Chapter of The Return. There is a reason for that. I went back and read the story, and it occurred to me that I need to make it better! So I present the rewrite of The Return I hope you enjoy it.
Return
Prologue
Danny remembered how it happened. He had just finished patrol, said goodbye to Sam, and was heading home. It had been a relatively quiet night not much activity, when he got nights like this he always looked forward to just heading home and catching up on his sleep. It was when he was a block away from home that he realized flying out in the open when you're public enemy #1 wasn't such a grand idea.
Which is why he hadn't been expecting the blast that caught him in the side.
Slamming into the nearest building he barely had time to shake off the rubble before he was dodging blast after blast. Apparently he wasn't the only one who'd decided tonight would be a good night for a patrol.
"You will not escape this time ghost scum!" His mother had shouted as they chased after him.
"You get him Maddie!" His father had yelled huffing slightly.
Rolling his eyes at their banter he figured he would just duck behind a mailbox and change back like he'd done thousands of times before. Only this time just as he was about to fly around a corner to change a net flew out of nowhere and dragged him to the ground. Whipping his head around he had enough time to see a flash of red before his entire body was engulfed in a beam of light.
'The thermos!' Danny thought before he was pulled in.
He didn't hear the cheer his father gave at finally catching the ghost menace. He didn't hear the sound of the car honking. He didn't even hear the sound of the crash. All Danny hoped was that Sam and Tucker would realize where he was and save him.
Only they never came.
The top of the thermos never opened to release him.
Before he knew he gave up hoping that someone would come along. Very day that passed within the thermos he spent trying to break through the ghost proof walls. Before he realized it he had grown taller, his hair longer, and his ghost powers stronger.
Then one day a crack appeared in the wall of his prison...
Author: Okay I went with a different approach for this one hope yal enjoy it. Hope this version is better. I'll be keeping the old one up until I finish the story afterwards I might take it down.
