Aiwa: My training bore fruit! *Starts Crying*
Rin: Hey, C'mon, let's just get to the story already!
Aiwa: *Sniffle* A-alright...here *Sniffle*...is my first beautiful chapter *Sniffle Sniffle* with Miki Takanouuuuuu*Starts Crying Again*
MIKI'S POV:
"M-mom...?" I asked in the voice of a 5 year old. "Why are you crying?"
"Oh Miki," My mom sobbed and practically squeezed the life out of me.
"Maybe we should call Dad..." I said, earning a shocked look from her. My father, at the time, was an archaeologist. Every now and then, he would fly off to some bizarre country and go excavate the old remains of ancient societies. He had taken me to an excavation site once or twice, and I could clearly understand why he had chosen the job. Getting paid for digging in the dirt is great! I could do that anytime.
"Miki..." My mother trailed off, stroking my lime green hair that reached the backs of my knees. "Daddy...won't be coming back,"
"Huh?" I was confused. I barely understood the concept of birth...how was I supposed to handle death?!
"H-he's gone," She sobbed, but then carried on. She told me the rest of the events f his death as if she believed a 5-year-old could comprehend such nonsense. "The plane that was taking him to Brazil...crashed into the sea in the middle of the flight."
"It's okay, Mom" I said as I pat her back with my small, doll hands. Like a mother should, I got a blanket from the linen closet and told her to sleep it off. And, just like a mom would do, I fixed me a light snack and strolled ponderously into my room. Once I was there, I flopped onto the bed, my face buried in the pillow. I thought about death and my level of comprehension of it. My mother's words resounded in my mind...especially when she said that he was never coming back...the pillow became wet.
TIME SKIP
I was now at the age of 12. I had transferred to a new school. My hair, a vivid neon lime, had now stretched to my ankles. I didn't really care for haircuts, so, against my mom's will, I let it grow out. My matching eyes, similar to my late father, remained the same. my hair now had an arrangement of clips and bands thrown aimlessly into it. I wore a red, plaid skirt, a black blazer, red plaid necktie, leg warmers, and the classic black school shoes. On my first day at my new school, I was forced to introduce myself.
"Hi. I am Miki Takanou. Pleasure to meet you." I said nonchalantly.
"Thank you, Takanou-san. Please enter the empty seat behind Yamabuki-san." The famous Yamabuki-san raised her hand, and I could immediately see that she was a popular girl at school. As I walked to my seat, I clearly heard evil whispers.
"Look at her hair,"
"Yeah, what's up with it?!"
"And those weird, mix-matched pins in her head?"
"That's so not stylish,"
I gave each student a glare when they responded. I participated in class and took notes like a good girl should until class was over. I raised my body to get out, I was slammed back down with so much force that the chair toppled over with a sickening thud.
"Oh! I'm so sorry, new kid! I hope you can get up!" I heard Yamabuki's voice, which was sarcastic.
"That's not my name,"
"Oh, sorry...Lime-y" The class erupted into laughter. I couldn't take it anymore and rushed out of the class...out of the school...even though I still had 4 classes left.
A few weeks later was the day of my birthday, which was almost ruined. I wanted to invite some children form school, but I had no friends, nor did anyone like me. My mom left to got my birthday cake. When she came home, it instantly hit the floor. Then, my mother tried to make another one, but that ended up as hard as a rock. We ended up being able to make a single cupcake. My mother put a little candle on it, and we prayed that the wax wouldn't ooze too much. I mused over my wish. The first thing that came to mind was...luck. I had grew up without it. I only had bad luck. It ruined my life and brought sadness t the people I loved. My father died, I was bullied at school, my birthday was ruined, can I even count how much bad luck I've had? Either way, I was fed up with it. Please, just this once...I...want to have good luck...bring good luck to those that deserve it. And I blew out the candle.
The next morning, I had woken up to the sound of nothing. I wasn't very sure what it was that woke me up, but something in my body told me that I needed to. Thinking that it was just a need to go pee, I pulled off the covers and slightly lifted my right leg...until I felt something under it. Something...smooth...round. I moved my leg entirely out of the way to see...a small egg with a periwinkle hue and a frilly lace-like pattern across.
Aiwa: Sorry! I know it's quite short, but it's five minutes past my bed time, so I will update now, here is some background knowledge on Miki
