I'm not sure if you'll like my new headcannon...
"Goddammit," Leo mumbled, looking down at himself.
"Leo, it's fine-" Reyna started.
Leo interrupted her, "Are you implying that losing my damn leg is fine?" He dropped back down onto his bed.
Reyna cringed. She opened her mouth and closed it, trying to think of something to say to make Leo feel better. She couldn't think of anything.
"How did this happen?" Leo whispered.
"You don't remember?"
Leo shook his head. "Please, tell me."
Reyna took a deep breath. "It was just after the Doors of Death were closed. There were monsters, everywhere. Percy was fighting beside Annabeth. His back was turned. A hydra was behind him, waiting to strike. You jumped in front of it when it did, and it ripped off most of your leg, you passed out after getting hit by acid," Reyna paused. "Gods, Leo. Why'd you do that?"
"I couldn't have let anyone die. Is everyone okay?"
"Frankā¦" Reyna trailed off.
"Oh gods," Leo muttered. He pressed his hands over his face. "He closed the doors."
"I'm sorry."
Leo struggled into a sitting position. "I want out."
"Leo, you can't," Reyna warned.
"Help me." Leo looked at her with wide brown eyes. She looked away from his face and instead focused on his legs.
Both were heavily bandaged. His right leg had been ripped to shreds; he only had a small stub of a leg left. His left leg was riddled with deep gashes, many of them would scar. Chiron had said he'd need to go through physical therapy before he could even think about getting a prosthetic.
"Please, Reyna." Before he'd been upset, and angry. Now he was like a lost child, pitiful and desperate.
Reyna sat down next to him and reached for his hand. "Leo, you need to sleep. That's the only way you'll heal."
"I don't wanna sleep, I want to get out of this infirmary," Leo argued, moving back into a sitting position.
Reyna sighed and pushed Leo back down onto the bed. "You have to heal still. Just, lay down."
Leo frowned and protested against her holding him down.
"Leo, don't you dare make me call Chiron or Will and have them knock you out, because I will."
"I hate life," Leo muttered. He stared up at the ceiling, unblinkingly.
"You have all the rights to hate life, but don't hurt yourself anymore."
Leo's closed his eyes. "If you insist sleep is so important, you better not wake me up as I sleep."
"I won't."
Leo smirked. Reyna watched to make sure he was completely asleep before leaving.
Well that was an attempt. R&R please. Also, some of you may know about my Leyna Drabbles. I also know a lot of you want me to update so if you want to leave phrases or prompts so I can have ideas to write that would help a lot.
