Upside down Life
"Who are you?" wondered the girl. "Don't worry about me, worry about your future," said the other young girl. Her vision disappeared. "No!" she woke up. "It was all a…dream." She brushed her bangs out of her face, and walked over to the dresser. "I've got to tell someone?" she said, getting dressed.
Out in the city it was different, no freedom until now, of course, sort of. She crabbed her jet- board walking outside. The girl floated down the street on her jet- board.
The people looked horrified. Freedom wasn't everything; the city was only half free.
She stopped, and put her jet- board away.
The girl looked up at the giant building. The letters read 'Naughty Ottsel', in orange. "Hmm… I wonder?" she said walking through the doors.
"Hey, Keira!" shouted a friendly voice. "Oh, Tess you scared me!" gasped Keira. "Is Jak here?"
"No, he went with Dax on a mission," sighed Tess. "You want a drink?"
Keira shook her head, walking out, "No, Thanks!" Tess shrugged, walking back behind the counter.
Keira stood outside Naughty Ottsel. She stared into the foggy streets. Keira felt a drop of rain on her hand.
"Not, now," she wished, taking out her jet- board. She jumped on it, and slowly rode through the city. Finally, she came to a stop. Keira sat down on her board, staring out at the people in motion. A freedom- league guard walked by a lady, causing her to drop her bag, he turned around and helped her pick it up. Keira smiled. Back a year- ago, the feared guards would kill you for touching them.
Keira flew out her dream, and back into reality. "I miss my home," she whispered.
"If there is a better place, then help me," said the lady who had recently dropped her bag.
"There was," stated Keira. "More than 500 years- ago." The lady shook her head, like Keira was crazy.
Keira thought the same thing, she was.
"What was about that dream that seemed so real?" murmured Keira. She walked past Freedom HQ.
"Keira, have you seen Jak?" asked a rough voice, behind her.
"Tess said he was on a mission?" exclaimed Keira, staring him straight in the eye.
"Huh, mission?" he muttered.
"Torn, you didn't send him on a mission, did you?" said Keira, turning away from him.
"No, I didn't," said Torn.
"I'll find him," said Keira. Torn nodded, walking back into Freedom HQ.
