Lily rushed through the corridor trying to find the potions classroom. She didn't know how she'd gotten so far off course, but she was sure she could find her way back. "Damn those changing stairs," she muttered to herself. Up ahead she saw a doorway that would hopefully lead her back down. How wrong she was. Through the door was not another staircase, but an old abandoned classroom. And laying in the middle of the floor was none other than James Potter. For a moment she felt her heart flutter as he sat up and looked at her, but she dismissed it and slowly turned to leave.
"Wait!" He yelled after her. His voice made her melt and it took all her strength not to turn and throw herself at him.

"Yes?" She asked, turning around and hoping her voice wasn't shaking too much. Their eyes locked for a brief second before they both looked away. James ran his hand through his hair and was, for the first time, at a loss for words. "I uh.. I was just gonna say... Uhmm.. Would you maybe.. Possibly.. Hopefully... WannagowithmetoHogsmeadethis weekend?" She froze, unable to believe this was really happening. "Come again?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

"Would you, Lily Evans, like to go with me, James Potter, to Hogsmeade this weekend?" He looked her in the eye and this time, neither of them looked away. Her heart swelled. She gave him a small smile and said, "I thought you'd never ask." Then she winked and turn and left, and in that one moment, everything was perfect.
