An Ancient Egyptian Love
Disclaimer: I don't own anything but Ahmurine. She's mine!
"Many who do not believe, will soon believe when they come face to face with the demon who has wiped out whole cities in no more than two days."
The entire city of Sunatala was standing on the front grounds of the palace. People left their carts and goods in the city streets to come and listen to their Pharoah.
"And those who believe will be more than prepared for what is headed our way. I have readied our armies and sent word to our neighboring towns and cities."
He gestured to one of the guards, smiling almost warmly. The guard disappeared behind the curtain, returning only a few moments later, a chain in his hand. Giving the chain to the Pharoah, the guard bowed, and went behind the curtain again, emerging with a black panther cub in his arms.
Taking the cub, the Pharoah gestured again to the guard, the guard disappearing yet again, returing, this time, with the High Priestess adorned in her transparent black gown. The people below watched anxiously as she recieved the black cub into her arms, making soft little noises at it, causing its ears to perk.
"As you all will understand, Ahmurine will be completely reliable in helping us win this war."
He turned to Ahmurine, smling at her in a most fatherly fashion as though she had just accomplished completion of some great, horrific task.
Both sets of eyes locked momentarily before moving to look at the horizon as an earth rumbling movement errupted from just over the hill, causing all the people to turn, in unison, to look.
At the top of the hill, sword raised, was the Scorpion King. He looked rather intimidating, what with his muscular body and rather sharp looking sword.
The Pharoah looked to Ahmurine and whispered something to her, his eyes shifting towards the Scorpion King. Ahmurine moved forward, the cub still in her arms, eyes on the Scorpion King, a small smirk crossing her lips.
"Tell the army to make themselves scarce," she said quietly as she moved to the Pharoah, "I have a devilish plan that will clear your worries."
With that, she moved back inside the palace, the smirk remaining on her lips even as she watched everyone below scatter like little bugs about to be stepped on. Sitting on her window-sill, she moved her eyes towards the hill, the cub resting on one of the many pillows on her bed.
The Scorpion King was no longer standing on the hill. Her eyes darted around the palace grouns, but all was silent. With her heart pounding in her ears, she rose from her ledge, eyes moving to the door as it opened. She soon found herself looking around her bedroom. Seeing nobody, she slowly moved to the door.
"What are you here for...? If you're..."
Ahmurine didn't finish her sentence. She lost her voice as she realized that it was none other than the Scorpion King who had come to interrupt her time. Her eyes were glued to his, a deep brown with a slight hint of grey. She seemed frozen in place as he sheathed his sword.
"We have found a very important woman, Niata," he told one of his scouting soldiers.
She back up a bit, calming down, moving her hands to her hips, replying, "You're smarter than you're made out to be."
He laughed almost jovially, nudging his scout, "We've found a very firey upstart of an important woman," lookcing back to her, he finished, "that's rare for someone as powerful as a priestess."
"High Priestess Ahmurine, peasant. If you don't get it right, I'll kill you."
