They really had had a great night. Well after they beat Royal Pain and everything. Zach and Magenta had danced a little but only to fast songs. During the slow ones they debated who on the dance floor would get laid that night and who wouldn't. Surprisingly, they agreed that Ethan would if he continued dancing with that girl like he did. The conversation then switched to random things such as movies, classes, favorite pizza toppings, and the school's weird obsession with Chucks.

The final strains of a cheesy love song left the Sky High Gymnasium speakers. The DJ and his crew could already be heard clearing up. Zach and Magenta sat in the bleachers together still. The conversation had been easy and not awkward at all…until they both realized they were the only ones left and what that might mean.

"So…um…what's with the purple streaks?" Zach asked timidly. As Zach had quickly found out that night, when you asked Magenta questions, you would never really know what kind of response you would get. She might give a sincere, thoughtful answer or she might threaten to cut you with the nearest sharp object.

"Well, my mom has always been this really uptight bitch and when I was in 6th grade I guess I really wanted to piss her off. 6th grade was the time when I really found my love for purple and black and my mom was trying to repress that as much as possible. She liked to throw my black clothes away when I was sleeping and that pissed me off so bad. So one day I come home and take off my hat and was all like 'Try to throw this out!'" Magenta said in a surprisingly calm voice.

"That's actually really cool. I wish I could do something like that to my parents." Zach said.

All of a sudden both of them looked around to realize that they were now completely alone and that the gym's lights were automatically shutting off.

"Um…maybe we should go catch a bus or something." Magenta said hoping there was still a bus there.

"Good idea."

They left the gym but didn't go any farther than the hallway. A huge glass window showed a gorgeous starry night. A convenient bench faced the window waiting for them.

Zach and Magenta, staring at the sky, sat down next to each other. Zach started sweating automatically because of the close proximity. Magenta tried to pretend that there wasn't a bazillion butterflies in her stomach.

"Holy shit that's gorgeous." Magenta said with amazement in her voice.

"My feelings exactly." Zach said but he had stopped thinking about the sky a long time ago.

Magenta turned to kiss Zach on the cheek. Zach turned to kiss Magenta on the cheek. Their lips met and sparks flew wildly. Not thinking about what she was doing Magenta wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned in, increasing the intensity of the kiss. They held on to it as long as they could until they had to break apart do to needing oxygen.

"Wow that was-" Magenta cut off whatever Zach was about to say with another kiss.

"Students the last bus is about to leave. I repeat students the last bus is about to leave."

Magenta and Zach looked at each other

"SHIT!"
