Wow... I have had this story planned ever since the mid-season 2 finale, and ever since then, this little story has gone through soooo many changes! LOL! Mainly my OC, Veronica Hayworth, who is now Luciana Hayworth, and has a totally different background. While this prologue may start out mushy and type odd (and is set in the FUTURE), I plan to fully explore this story, and the events that occur which LEAD to this bit of the story. I plan to add romance, action, blood and gore, and much drama. haha! I hope you guys like this bit, and will stay to read more!
Also, the summary will tend to change once the story full progresses!
"Love is giving someone the power to destroy you but trusting them not to."
He held her tightly by her arms, tired of her rude ways against him. The way she would always try to avoid him and brush him off whenever he talked to her, it was all getting the best of him. It hurt him how coldly she treated him, how she seemed to not care about everything they once shared. He hated how easily she controlled his feelings, and he loathed her for it. He never wanted to feel again for anyone else. Life knew it as well as he did that he tried his best to avoid it, especially with the way he lost Lori.
He didn't want to go through that painful experience again, and that bittersweet emotion, that feeling that everyone, from the sanest of man to the insane longed for, was only getting in the way. Love would only stop him from protecting his town Alexandria, from protecting the one person that always made his life worth while, his son Carl. Yet, there he was contradicting everything he set himself out to do, deep down wanting nothing but a second chance at happiness. A second chance for a family for his son,
"Alright, I get it Luciana… look me in the eyes right now, and tell me that everything we went through together doesn't matter to you. Tell me those four words, and I promise I'll leave you alone for good," Rick muttered angrily, keeping his teary eyes on her. She looked away, not wanting him to see the tears that were forming in her own eyes. She pressed her eyes shut as she felt his fingers press deeper into her flesh, causing her heart to beat faster by the feel of his touch. Even if it was an angry gesture, he always managed to make her feel better, something she never imagined she would feel for a man that wasn't her husband.
They started out as simply strangers with common friends; at least that's how it was for her. She never thought of him as anything else but a common good man, who held a profound sadness in his eyes whenever she saw them. A sadness he didn't deserve yet was there;
That always intrigued her about him, and when they found each other again years back at the prison, that same sadness was still there. An odd friendship soon developed that suddenly, turned into something much greater, and now that she found him again for a third time, she had to admit that he was much more to her than a simple friend.
She opened her eyes, her tears quickly flowing down her cheeks, and looked back at him,
"This wasn't meant to happen. It was only supposed to be my son and I, our town of Olympus, but fate put him in my path yet again,"
