A/N: Thank you so much to Iluska and aLiE-fEIToN for reviewing! Thank you
for being kind in your reviews. In fact, you have inspired me to write a much
longer poem. So, here it is:

Scene: During the final battle with Voldemort, Hermione is struck by one of the
Unforgivable Curses and falls to the ground. After defeating Voldemort once
and for all, Harry runs to Hermione's side and expresses how much he cares.
In the final stanza, Harry finally reveals his deepest secret, his darkest fear...

Your eyes were once a lively brown
But now they are as lifeless as Voldemort's heart
Your once charming smile is now a heart-wrenching frown
My tears are streaming down my face as I realize
the time has come for us to part

I will forever remember you
Your everlasting kindness and unsurpassable smarts
The way your charm captured my heart
I will remember the first time I said "I love you."
And the way my heart leapt
When you said "I love you, too."

These moments we shared, I'll be sure to savor
Every kiss, every dance, every cuddle- it all seems like yesterday
But without your love, I can almost feel
my heart beginning to decay

No!
I can't let you go; I won't let you go
The taste of your love still lingers on my lips
Saying goodbye would just add to my list of hardships

My memory of you will never fade away
This is the promise that will be eternal as of today
I will cherish our time together beyond my death
Even the faintest image of you in my mind just takes away my breath

But now you are an angel
Immortal and timeless
I cannot imagine how stunning you must appear
Even as a human, you were beyond flawless-
Always loving, always smart and always noble

I endured rumors spread about me from Rita Skeeter
I've fought Voldemort and defeated Death Eaters
I've even been chased by angry centuars
I have been through all of this and more

Being the wonderful person you are
I regret that I kept a secret all these years
Hermione, never seeing you smile
Never hearing your musical laugh
Never being lost in the depths of your eyes
Is my greatest fear

A/N: Wow! Eight stanzas! So, what do you think? Review, to let me know.
