You know those crushes that you've had since you first met them. You did not know it at first but you could feel it. All of your life you were taught to hate it yet you loved it, not only loved it but lived it. Well that's me. I'm in love with my best friend and it gets worse. He's in love with some stupid girl. I have a snowball's chance in hell with him.
"Sirius! Hello! You in there?" James asked me snapping his fingers in front of my face.
" hm" I grunted to him with a mouthful of cauldron cake.
" anyways, how should I ask lily out to the Yule ball?" James continued staring dreamily at her
" just ask her like a normal human being already! You're handso- I mean the captain of the quittich team, who could resist?"
I know it sounds silly but if I don't get my wish, I hope that he does. Even if it's with that ignorant self centered ignorant non deserving, I mean lily.
" you are most certainly right!" James exclaimed " thanks mate!" He then clapped me on the shoulder and ran over to catch up with Lily.
He strutted over to where Lily was standing and I try to look away while my heart slowly get torn to shreds but my eyes instantly lock on them desperate to get an update on what's happening.
"I would never ever go out with an ignorant selfish pig like you!" Lily screams over her shoulder as she stomps from the great hall, probably going to join the library, the only place where being a rude know it all is accepted.
I can't help but let a little smile creep over my lips but when I see the look on James' face I instantly feel it being suppressed. He is still staring where Lily had stood moments ago, in a state of shock as people snigger around us whispering quickly.
"C'mon lets get out of here" I mumble to James half steering half dragging him by the shoulder until we arrive to the seventh floor, across from the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy.
