This moment is the one. The one moment everyone waits for. The one thats so far away, but yet so close that you don't even see it's there until you look hard. Once you do, you'll see the sheer beauty in the person or object of your choice. As my lips move in sync with hers, the days events that we've been together flooded back into my mind. The wonderful memories...the horrible memories...the unbelievable memories...and the unmistakably scariest memories of my time seemed like little nothings compared to her touch.

She pulled away, leaning against me, loving this moment. The war is the main occupation right now, and she fears I won't come back. I won't come back. Those four words didn't bother me. As long as she's safe, I could care less what happens to me tomorrow. As long as shes safe, I could care less what happens to me ever.

Another real life fairytale is my thought as I realize this is what love must be like. My dream, my life, my love, my heart, all in my arms right now, hoping for the best out of tomorrow. What if.... No. I have to come back. I made a promise. I made a commitment. I plan on making a life here with her when I'm older. I'm fighting for the things people go out and fight for everyday. This is the reason we have food to eat, lives to live, sisters to smile, brothers to hang with, mothers to care, fathers to help, aunts to cook, uncles to build stuff, grandmas to read to us, grandpas to work on cars with, and people to love.

We've gotta fight for this. This is our time. This is hero's in the making.

"Are you sure?" She asks me, her eyes begging. "Are you sure you'll come back?"

"Is anyone ever really sure of their the future?" I sighed, running my fingers through my hair.

"No," She replys. "But we can hope."

"Hope for the best?"

"Yes...and no."

"No?" This confused me.

"I mean," She sat up and starred out at the water. "I wouldn't want to get in fates way, would I?"

"Basically your saying sometimes the way things turn out are for the best then huh?"

"Basically."

I smiled at her. She smiled back. We stayed like this for a long while, just starring. Just hoping. Just living. Just wondering.

"I love you." She says softly.

"I love you, too,.." A soft smile played on my lips.

"What?" She demands. She hates being kept out on secrets.

"Nothing." I said. "I love you, too, Annie Bell."

And with that, I burst into laughter.
