Any requests for a one-shot? Comment or send me a private message and I'll whip it up. I'm getting into the flow of things again which has more reading and writing involved. I actually had this particular one-shot on my computer since last year, but I didn't have the time to edit it.. or rather, I completely forgot about it until I was cleaning up my PC. Some stories might look interconnected, and they can be taken as such - or else they can be read alone too.

Hitsugaya grumbled to himself. His hands pressed together in a criss-cross, leaning his back against the store as he waited. Notable people would walk passed him and stare, curiously, but he didn't pay them any mind. He was used to it afterall. Countless missions forcing him in this place, around these creatures, who glowered at him like a awestruck owl wondering what kind of shampoo he used. And he would growl in mild irritation, "It's all natural!" and make them start running with their tail between their legs.

That was why he tried to keep himself away from the public scope. Relaxing above a tree branch, sitting by the cliff, hanging around grans house, taking naps over Orihime's roof. The usual.

So why was he standing outside a grocery mart where tons of kids and old folks pass by? It was a long story. At first it involved Ichigo Kurosaki, substitute soul-reaper, or rather major-imbecile who has a death wish. Now, however, it involved a petite girl who unknowingly knew how to manipulate.

"Hitsugaya-san" He heard his name and turned his head as he watched the short girl trail out of the entrance with a bunch of grocery bags. He kicked himself off the wall and immediately went to her, snatching a few bags from underneath her grasp, "You don't have to do that!"

He shrugged in response. Yuzu frowned, but turned to her path - experience telling her that arguing about it was useless, "I'll make you something for waiting for so long." She promised.

As they were about to leave, a shout caused them to stop in their path and turn back in the direction of the store. Hitsugaya tried to hide his slight annoyance.

"Yuzu!" Yuzu stared at the entrance, watching the red mob peek out from the door to see whether she was still in the area. He jumped off the porch and ran to them.

"Oh Jinta, did I leave something?" She asked, looking at her bags.

"Oh no, I wanted to give you something." He held his hand out and placed a bunch of candy in her bags sheepishly, "We just got them, new. They're really good and thought you might like to try them."

Right, Hitsugaya grumbled to himself. It was so obvious what he was doing. He wondered whether Yuzu was actually aware of the boy's intentions.

"Oh, thank you. I'll tell you if I like them." She smiled and waved to him, beckoning Hitsugaya to follow her the rest of the way home.

As he took a step, he felt a pair of eyes glaring daggers at his back. But as he turned, he saw only Jinta's retreating body, radiating with anger and annoyance.

He smiles in satisfaction.
