CHAPTER 1

"…from what has been observed of the earliest records of history, the Northern Galaxy was once a divided but peaceful place. The peoples of many planets and solar systems, despite many of them developing technology capable of travelling from one world to another, would keep to themselves and live in secluded goodwill. That was, however, until the Attack of the Demon Brothers of Arcose. The people of Arcose were an advanced society of mighty shape shifters, with their warriors metamorphosing into weaker forms to suppress their great destructive prowess. Despite being a highly advanced race, the people of Arcose lived in seclusion and operated by a simplistic monarchy, with separate houses for each of the ruling families. Eventually, a trio of especially powerful and equally wicked brothers from the House of Cold named Kensukyo, Sonu and the second to bear the name of the original King Cold, stole a ship and travelled the cosmos, conquering or destroying any civilization that they could find. Erecting an immense slave driven armada, the three brothers slowly but surely began to conquer most, if not all, of the Northern Galaxy. With the combined power to all but obliterate a planet, alongside their near-immeasurable armada, they were seemingly unstoppable. That was, however, until the Coalition of the Cosmos was formed. Word of the Demons had quickly spread from the Northern Galaxy to the Eastern, Southern and Western Quadrants of the Galaxy. Compelled by the atrocities being committed, as well as the threat that the Demons could amass armies sufficient to conquer their own Quadrants, thousands upon thousands of mighty fleets from thousands upon thousands of races converged from their home Quadrants onto the Demons, who's armies were annihilated before they themselves were slowly but surely worn down and destroyed from the sheer mass of opposition. And from the bloody ashes of the Demons, their enslaved followers and the fallen of the Coalition of the Cosmos, a new era had begun. Realizing that something this catastrophic would be very likely to happen again if left unchecked, the Northern Galaxy was inducted into the Coalition of the Cosmos, which has ever since been the firm but fair regime of the entire galaxy…everything seemed to have been brought on a tight rein into an epoch of concord after the Coalition took charge, but now today it seems that terrorism and piracy is beginning to run more and more rampant…"

The narrator of the intergalactic history podcast continued to drone on and on, playing into the headphones of a small, boyish humanoid with tawny-tanned skin and fuchsia-noire hair that consisted of an assortment of gravity-defying spikes that formed a Mohawk, framed by a pair of "devil horn" spikes and a spiky fringe. Underneath his groggily fallen eyelids was an odd-looking pair of eyes with undistinguishably pitch-black irises and pupils alongside vividly emerald green sclera. From the neck down his body was covered by a loose and snug lavender bodysuit with a pair of slip-on style yellowy shoes alongside a similarly banana-coloured sleeveless zip-up vest with a hood pulled over the lad's lowered head as he had slouched back into a seat that was easily twice his measly height of a few inches short of five feet, turning to the left slightly as he had all but fallen asleep. To his right sat a notably taller and older woman who stood at just about six feet and was clad in a noire, petite and cheaply tattered spaghetti strap-black dress. And from what could be seen from her bare, curvaceous and strapping build underneath, it was the entirety of what she was wearing.

The duo quietly sat at the very back row of the lower-class deck of the cheapest interplanetary civilian transport they could find. As luck would have it, despite their fairly suspicious appearances, no heads turned in their direction and no questions were asked. In all honestly though, it was just most likely because the staff were so unqualified and underpaid that they just couldn't care any less.

A horn suddenly blared from the intercom to signify that an announcement was now to be made. An awkward rustling noise started to resound from the speakers. Whoever the speaker was, they had switched the microphone on before realizing they had to move it in place in order to comfortably be able speak into it. The rustling and annoyed grunting of the speaker trying to get it in the right position continued for an awkwardly long time, the sounds being offputtingly gauche to the entirety of the transport as they could do nothing but listen.

"…a-attention every…every…e-everyone…o…on board the…uh…sh…the ship or whatever…" the incredibly bored and distracted voice of the 'announcer' began to mumble and stutter into the microphone that they had finally worked into the right place. "…the…uh…what's…what's the…the…the d…destination…uh…the destination…the l…the lovely Planet D…D…th…the heck is thing called…Planet…D…Delgatera, I…I think…Planet Delgatera…is now in sight…and we'll be touching down in a couple of hours…o…or so…I guess…okay b-"

The voice was cut off as they carelessly shut off the microphone midsentence. For the rest of the journey no living creature aboard the vessel voluntarily made a sound. Only the occasional cough or sneeze would remind those aboard of the fact that they hadn't gone deaf.

The six-foot tall and scarcely garbed woman softly sighed as she assumed a relaxed position that involved folding her arms behind her head, crossing one leg over the other and resting her back against the grand waist-length mane of black spikes that she called her hair. She looked over the shrouded boy napping next to her and smiled the smallest of smiles at him while also suppressing a chuckle at his outfit.

Between paying for this trip and the snazzy new-fangled getup she'd gotten for him she'd nearly gone broke, even having to sell off all her old clothes save for the tattered washrag of a dress she was now sporting, not that her shameless nature didn't stop her from acting like she rocked the look. But, in her eyes, it was all worth it.

"A mother should spoil their kids, after all…" She whispered as she then silently turned her head and looked at the ceiling, softly sighing as she waited for the time to pass until they touched down planet-side.

/Hello dear reader and thank you for reading this first chapter! This is pretty much just a quick prologue, meant to set up the basis of the world of this story and whatnot. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this brief beginning, because there's more to come soon, trust me. ;)

Just one warning, though; While this is technically a Fan-Fiction of an alternate Dragon Ball universe, I will also be using my own created alien races and just about any alien race from just about any other Sci-Fi thing ever (Mass Effect, Halo, Star Wars, Star Trek, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, DC and Marvel Comics, etc.).

Also, I'm not really going to shy away in moments of profanity, violence, gore, sex and whatnot.
