When Gabriella Martinez met two women on a lonely dirt road two months back, she knew it was a miracle. For the past year, the woman had been moving between groups, trying to settle down but it never worked. So, when she came across Michonne and Andrea, she was happy because the women accepted her but she knew it probably wouldn't last for long. Her longest encounters were usually three months, and they were slowly approaching four.

The three women were walking along a long stretch of asphalt when they noticed smoke was rising in the air. The women and the walkers that had accompanied them stopped in the middle of their trek to look at what it was.

"What do you think happened?" Gabriella inquired.

"Probably some idiot starting a fire." Michonne spoke in her deep voice. "We should ignore it."

"Maybe it's somebody good." Andrea croaked.

"We should keep moving." Michonne insisted.

"Come on, Mich." Gabriella sighed, using the pet name for the darker woman. "It'll take two minutes tops. If there's nothing, we'll leave."

"Fine." Michonne rolled her eyes. "But if we get captured by some weird cannibal group, I'm blaming you."

"Harsh." Gabriella laughed, starting to walk through the cornfield with the two women towards the wreckage.

The women delved deeper into the woods and stopped as they discovered what been the cause of the smoke: a helicopter had crashed. The smoke was thick and white as it drifted into the sky.

Andrea's breathing was labored as she heard the leaves crunch underneath her boots. She stood still for a moment before falling to her knees and vomiting profusely into the grass.

"Don't push yourself." Michonne advised.

"Take it easy, honey." Gabriella said warmly, her hand gently dancing across the older woman's back.

"Come on." Michonne wrapped an arm around the blonde's form and helping her into a more secluded part of the grassy plain.

"She needs water." Gabriella observed, listening to the woman cough.

"We'll have to search for some later." Michonne spoke as she chained up the walkers to a tree. "That should hold 'em for now."

Gabriella opened her mouth to speak to the woman but she was cut off by the sound of tires rolling against asphalt. Michonne quickly dived to her knees next to Andrea and Gabriella followed suit.

The women watched as two white trucks pulled up next to the wrecked helicopter. Five men exited the vehicles but Gabriella couldn't see any of their faces clearly. It was too hard to see with the distance put between the two groups and the amount of leaves that blocked their vision.

"Fan out." A deep voice commanded the other four men.

The women stuck to their hiding place as the men walked slowly around the compound, looking for walkers and other survivors. Gabriella's hand curled around her handgun as the men got closer to the foliage they were crouched behind. If the area was silent, the pounding heartbeats of the three females could be heard from a mile away.

Gabriella's eyes latched onto a Hispanic buff male who was beating three walkers to death with a baseball bat. Even though the man wasn't facing them, he looked familiar to the Hispanic female. Before she could catch a glimpse of his face, her attention was directed back towards the helicopter wreckage that two men were stood against.

"Got a breather." One of the men called out. "Tim!"

An Asian male came running up to the helicopter and reached into the open door, helping the other man with grabbing the survivor. Michonne looked behind her to see that there was a walker coming closer to them, and Gabriella was in the way of it.

"Gabby!" Michonne whispered harshly, getting the woman's attention.

"What?" Gabriella questioned.

Michonne silently signaled behind her and the Hispanic woman turned around to see the rotter coming ever so close to her. She quickly rolled out of the way and went to jump up and kill the bastard, but the darker female stopped her and brought her back down again.

"We can't draw attention." Michonne said quietly, holding a finger to her lips. Gabriella nodded in understanding.

An arrow lodged itself into the head of the rotter that Gabriella was so eager to kill, and they watched as it fell to the ground. Michonne's head turned towards her pet walkers that were making a lot of noise. Their guttural moans were rising in pitch and the chains they were secured by were starting to rattle against the tree.

"Michonne." Gabriella whispered. "The walkers."

Michonne slowly gripped her katana and inched towards the walkers chained to the tree. Gabriella watched as the group of men were starting to turn their hands towards where they were situated, a couple of them moving closer.

"Shit." Andrea croaked. "They're coming."

"Deal with them." Gabriella nudged Michonne.

Once the chains were starting to strain against the wood, Michonne hopped up and sliced the heads of the walkers clean off. The bodies collapsed with a thud onto the forest floor and Michonne quickly dived back down behind the foliage. Gabriella sighed with relief and surveyed the men who were going back to their trucks.

A noise behind the girls startled Gabriella and she grabbed her handgun, turning onto her back and pointing it at a man with a metal arm.

"Easy there, senorita." The man laughed, pointing his own gun at Gabriella but his was much bigger than hers. "How about you put down that gun and nobody has to get hurt here?"

"How do we know we can trust you?" Gabriella asked cautiously, her gun still trained on the man.

"You don't." The man smirked. "That's the beauty of it."

Michonne's hand was on her sword, her glare aimed at the rugged man stood before us. His metal arm stopped at the crook of his elbow and it looked heavy.

"Why you got a metal arm?" Gabriella raised an eyebrow.

"Had to cut off my real one." The man shrugged. "Some bastards chained me to a rooftop and left me to die."

"You must have pissed those guys off real bad." Gabriella remarked.

The thing that got Gabriella to drop her weapon was the sight of Andrea fainting. She quickly jumped to the woman's aid and pressed the back of her hand to the blonde's forehead, feeling the skin burn underneath her fingers. When the man came to stepping closer, Gabriella fumbled for her gun, but she was knocked out cold by a strong force, her body falling limply onto the floor.

"Martinez." The Governor whistled, gesturing the Hispanic male to come closer.

"Yes, Governor?" Caesar asked, strapping his gun to his back.

"You said you have a wife, right?" The Governor questioned.

"Yeah." Caesar nodded, his heart hurting at the mention of his one true love.

"When did you last see her?" The Governor raised an eyebrow.

"Just before this shitstorm started." Caesar sighed. "She's probably long dead by now."

"Could I see a picture of her?" The Governor requested.

"Yes, of course." Caesar produced his wallet, showing his leader the picture of his wife.

"I have a surprise for you." The Governor smiled widely as he looked at the picture.

"Gabriella." A garbled voice called to the tanned female as she lay on a bed. "Gabriella, can you hear me?"

"Michonne?" Gabriella said weakly, her head pounding as she struggled to open her eyes.

"It's me." Michonne confirmed, her hand resting on the younger female's cranium. "That guy knocked you out for the ride. He thought you'd be a risk."

"I can understand that." Gabriella croaked, finally managing to pry her eyes open.

The room was dimly lit, something Gabriella was thankful for. It was a simple room. There was two beds, and a couple chairs situated in the corners. A desk was shoved under the window, most likely holding medical supplies.

"How you feeling?" Michonne asked.

"Sore." Gabriella sighed, pushing herself up into a sitting position.

"Why are we being held here?" Andrea said deeply as she faced the nurse. "We wanna leave."

"You're not well enough. She may have a concussion with how hard Merle hit her." The nurse sighed. "And it's dark. You should stay the night."

"Where are we?" Andrea demanded.

"That's not for me to say." The nurse shook her head. "He'll talk to you."

"Who?" Michonne questioned.

The man from before, who Gabriella assumed was called Merle, entered the room, accompanied by two other men who had been at the crash site.

"Go check on your patient, doc." Merle ordered and the nurse stepped out. "Bet you were wondering if I was real. Or you were hoping I wasn't. Well, here I am." Merle chuckled, taking a seat on a chair. "I guess this world gets a little smaller towards the end, huh? Ain't so many of us left to share the air, right?"

"Who are you?" Gabriella asked.

"I'm Merle Dixon, sweetheart." Merle winked.

"Pleasure." Gabriella sighed.

"Y'know, when they found me, I was near enough bled out. Starving, thinking to myself that a bullet might make a good last meal. Take myself for a nice long nap after it. Wait for Daryl on the other side." Merle directed his monologue towards Andrea. "You see my brother?"

"Not for a long time." Andrea shook her head.

"Makes two of us." Merle observed.

"He went back for you." Andrea said. "Him and Rick. You were already gone."

"Well, not all of me." Merle laughed sarcastically, pulling his metal attachment off to reveal a mutilated stump. "Yeah, Rick. He's that prick that cuffed me to the rooftop." Merle pulled back on the attachment, strapping it back to his real arm.

"Yeah, he tried." Andrea sighed. "Daryl saw that."

"He's always been the sweet one, my baby brother." Merle smiled.

"He wanted to keep looking." Andrea took a deep breath. "Then things happened, people died... a lot of them. Jim, Dale, Jacqui, Sophia, Amy."

"Your sister?" Merle questioned, noticing the look of sadness on the blonde's face.

"Yes." Andrea said stoically.

"She was a good kid." Merle said. "I'm sorry to hear it."

"There were more. A lot more." Andrea continued. "We had to leave Atlanta. We wound up on a farm and Daryl stepped up. He became a valued member of the group."

"Now he's dead." Merle guessed.

"I don't know that for sure." Andrea shrugged. "We got run off by a herd."

"How long ago?" Merle furrowed his eyebrows.

"Seven, eight months?" Andrea turned towards the two women for confirmation. Michonne and Gabriella both nodded. "I was separated from the rest of them. Got left behind. I know what it feels like."

"I doubt that." Merle scoffed, running his real hand over the metal attachment.

The conversation was cut short as a tall man entered the small room, commanding Merle to leave.

"Hello." The man greeted. "I'm the Governor. And who are you?"

"Andrea." The blonde croaked.

"Gabriella." The Hispanic female waved. "And that's Michonne."

"Well, Gabriella, I have a surprise for you." The Governor smirked before pulling in the buff Hispanic male from earlier. Once Gabriella scanned his face, she was shocked to find out who it was.

"Caesar." Gabriella breathed, pushing herself off the bed.

"Gabriella." Caesar grinned as he looked at his wife.

Gabriella stood there in shock for a few moments before striding across the room and into her husband's arms, comforted by the gesture.

"You two know each other?" Andrea questioned from behind them.

"Yeah." Gabriella sniffled, wiping the happy tears from her eyes as she turned to face her dumbfounded companions. "This is my husband."

Needless to say, the two women were confused by their friend's confession as she stood with the taller male, who looked at her like she was the ocean and he was desperate to drown.

"Husband?" Michonne spoke up. "I thought you said he was dead."

"I thought he was." Gabriella laughed.

"How about you two have a talk between yourselves?" The Governor smiled at the happy couple. "I can take it from here."

"Sure." Caesar smiled before grabbing his wife's hand and leading her out of the room.

"I'm so happy to see you." Gabriella cried happily as she embraced her husband.

"Me too." Caesar breathed, nuzzling his face into her neck. "It's been so damn long."

"Too long." Gabriella said, pulling herself out of the embrace to look him in the face, but his arms remained around her waist.

"I never stopped looking." Caesar assured her. "Every run we did, I hoped you were somewhere in a house, alive and well."

"Me too." Gabriella grinned. "You still look as handsome as ever."

"Did you get more beautiful?" Caesar teased, causing Gabriella to laugh. "I'm sure you did."

"Stop it, you." Gabriella pressed a loving kiss to his lips and of course, she still felt the sparks. "I love you."

"I love you too." Caesar whispered. "Now, how about we catch up with those friends of yours?"

"You got it." Gabriella smiled.

Well, I think this is the first Caesar/OC I've seen and I'm in love with him! Moreso, I love Hector Salazar from Sons of Anarchy, if any of you have watched that, but I couldn't generate a story idea from his character, so I decided to make a Martinez story! Anyways, Gabriella Martinez is the wife of Caesar, and I know he said his wife and kids were killed by walkers, but I decided to scrap that storyline, and make it so that his wife is actually alive and was just with Michonne and Andrea all along! Anyways, Season 4 is going to be AU. Instead of Martinez running his own group, they eventually run into Rick's group, and I'm thinking of having them join it. I hope everyone views that as a good plan. Please review, it would make my day! Thanks!
