"Perhaps, in time, if you prove a friend to us again."
It was so slight, so subtle . . . but I know that he said 'us'.
The word came from his mouth naturally and I knew he loved them.
The worst part was . . . it actually hurt.
Chapter I – Carlisle.
"So then I was like 'You did not just - - ' Caius ? Caius? Caius are you listening to me?"
I asked, raising a brow as I waved my hand in front of his face. He looked at me and his hand came up to swat mine away.
"Yes, brother."
He mumbled, brushing his white bangs out of his face. I shrugged and went back to rambling about when Demeteri and I argued. Of course, Caius looked fairly dead to me but he said he was listening so I kept talking.
"Anyways, so he was like 'Yes I did because you said . . .'"
I stopped, gaze landing on the large doors that were slowly opening.
"What?"
Caius asked,
"What did you say?"
He asked, coming around to look me in the eyes. I stepped to the side and my mouth hung open slightly.
A young man stepped into the room, accompanied by two others. He had light, almost snowy, blonde hair that swayed with his movements. He had amber eyes with a tint of crimson, they darted across the room as he examined his surroundings. He was pale, but not as pale as me or my brethren, he still looked a little human.
The man looked at me and I was certain that he was the most beautiful thing on this earth.
