He carefully sifted through the many people at the market place hoping to get to the store on time. His sandy blonde hair swayed slightly in the soft wind; his oceanic scent sending nearby women in a trance as he passed. The man smiled as the small, quaint jewelry store came into sight. He carefully pushed pass the women and young girls who were giggling around the shop entrance and made his way inside. The lightly perfumed air met his nose. The smell of lilacs brought his mind to the girl he was shopping for.

"Ah, Demyx. It's been awhile since you last came in!" came the jovial voice of the young woman working the counters.

"Yeah, I finally got the munny." Demyx proclaimed happily. He walked over to the counter and found that his item of choice already pulled out for him. The blonde smiled, and there was a slight twinkle in his aquamarine eyes.

"So, is this the day? Are you gonna ask her?" The clerk asked hoping to get the biggest scoop since the invasion of Radiant Garden.

"Yeah, I'm gonna do it tonight during the sunset!" Demyx replied happily. He reached for his wallet and pulled out a large bit of munny to pay for the small trinket.

"Well, with as much munny you're spending on her, I hope she says yes!" The young woman called after him as he left the store.

"Thanks! I hope so too!" Demyx called back, and he carefully tucked the little black box away in his pocket. The blonde looked out into the sky and noticed that it was getting late, and he decided to bolt to his small apartment. He quickly showered and changed into a casual outfit. Nothing to elegant and nothing that said he just got out of bed. It was just perfect. The phone range as he was placing a small box into his jacket pocket.

"Hello?" Demyx greeted upon picking up the phone.

"Demyx? Are you ready yet?" came a voice on the other end. Demyx let his lips curl into a knowing smile as the voice of the girl he cared about most rang throughout his ears.

"Yeah Reya, I'll be there in a few minutes." He said and hung up. The young blonde male grabbed his shoes before running out the door once more to find his girl.

He met her at the edge of a cliff overlooking the small town below.

"It's so pretty." She whispered, and Demyx came up behind her and gave her a gentle embrace.

"Yeah, but do you know why they call this place Radiant Garden?" he asked, and Reya turned to face Demyx.

"Why?" she asked, and the blonde gave her a cheesy grin.

"Because you're here." He said, and Reya gave him a playful punch on the arm.

"Demyx, you are so corny when it comes to romance." She said with a small smirk tugging at the corners of her mouth.

"Yeah, but you love it." Demyx said with a slight purr as he brought Reya closer to her and allowed his lips to tenderly brush against hers. After their moment of bliss, Reya broke away from Demyx to ask him something.

"Demyx, why did you ask me here. This is a weird date don't you think?" The raven-haired girl asked, and the familiar smile of knowing graced, the male's lips.

"Well Reya, there is something I've been wanting to ask you for a very long time." He said as he let his hand dip into his jacket pocket. "We've been going on dates for a long time, and I really like you. You have really made me feel special, and I want to be there for you from here on out. So, I was wondering if you'd be my w-" The blonde was silenced when a kiss was planted on his soft lips. Reya's arms wrapped around Demyx's neck, and a small bit of shock was etched on his face. Reya pulled away with a warm and loving smile on her face.

"Of course Demyx. I would love to be your girlfriend." She said, and went to kiss her new boyfriend again. Demyx smiled into the kiss, and mentally laughed to himself.

'I was going to ask you to be my wife…' he thought. '…but girlfriend works too.'
