This is my first try for a fanfic, so please don't be harsh if I wrote something wrong! English is not my mother language. Please leave a review. I would like to hear your opinions!

Damon's POV

A new City. New faces. The same old boredom. He tossed one after the other. Clichéd, in an old, run-down bar in the middle of nowhere. None of the others aroused his interest. Figures who wanted to drown the sorrows of everyday life in alcohol. From construction workers, housewives, to washed-up cop, everything was represented. Damon looked resigned to his glass of alcohol. Sure, there were a pile of women present who were interested in him, but none met his taste.

The skirts too short, the hair too blonde. Two pool-playing "ladies" he had already rejected. Both were now devoted to a regular customer.

Frustrated with the current night he ordered another drink. He was thirsty.

Kate's POV

It was almost two clock at night. She was lucky that she'd made it out of the last City. Forever on the run. You couldn't trust anyone. Sooner or later, everyone was betrayed by everyone. People were injured. A perpetual cycle. She was so sick of everything. But she had chosen this. It was cold and windy. She pulled her green jacket tighter around her and put her basekap deeper into her face. The inscription of a bar awakened her interest. She pushed the door open and the stench of alcohol enveloped Kate. It was a sad sight.

Damon's POV

Before the cold wind brushed his hair, Damon felt the energy which now entered the room.

Kate's POV

He caught her attention immediately. The perfekt lonley stranger.
