Remus didn't know whether he should go through with it or not. His stomach lurched as he fiddled over the thought of telling Tonks that he had feelings for her, that he loved her. Would she be repulsed? Would she shed tears of happiness and express her feelings for him as well? Of course not. He was in fact a werewolf no less a bloody old one at that. These feelings flooded him three days after the incident which he still couldn't believe occurred; that Tonks made a rather snide suggestion that Sirius was still attractive even after Azkaban. Fury was raised in him, and before he could even stop himself he had said out loud that he, Sirius, always got the girls. She turned to him with a malevolent look gleaming in her eyes, and told him that he knew who shed fallen for if he just stops feeling sorry for himself. That moment, was one of the most happiest and painful moments of his pathetic life. Yes she was talking about him, but there was no way in merlins beard that he would ever be with her. Normally he would just quit and find another job so he didn't have the pain of seeing her fall for someone else, some one better, more worthy of her than he would ever be. He always felt clean and unworthy. Like a rat carrying a deadly disease. Which is after all what he was, a disease, and he could not even fathom what he would do to himself if he ever hurt Tonks in anyway. It would destroy him. He'd never met anyone quite like her; she was witty, smart, extremely attractive and sexy. When he was alone with her he couldn't help himself but stare at her with awe and once or twice he swore that she caught on. But today was now or never. Sirius had told him previously that same day that he should go for it and suggested that he should, "hit that", of course he couldn't imagine ever making love with her, I mean would he? A desire like a hungry beast waiting to devour its next meal was thumping in his chest making it hard for him to breathe. Molly told him it was all a part of the nerves and if Tonks didn't like him that was her loss not yours. She'd invited him to dinner and he smiled, like a fool and accepted without even giving it a second thought. But he had a shrewd thought that tonight was the night he was going to confess. Tonight he was going to tell Tonks that he loved her.
