Knowing she was right, and always having a certain amount of vanity that kept her from shying away from the Slayer regardless, Cordelia stood her ground as Buffy glowered upon her. She let the blonde go, too, when she turned away. She had warned the other girl.

Cordelia Chase didn't care about friendships. She would win every argument she entered without any concern, but Buffy wasn't like her. She wasn't truly mean; she needed her little, loser friends. If she was fool enough to persist in her moppet issues and lose them after Cordy's warning, then it was her loss.
