A one shot exploring Ingrid.

I know I should have updated yesterday but I thought it Friday :3 I somehow lost a day? So here it is!

Synopsis: Many people see Ingrid as an evil cold hearted bully but really all it is a defence mechanism. A little one shot looking behind the walls and explaining why she is the way she is.

The Walls of Ingrid Dracula

When people look at the eldest Dracula child there is a lot to be seen; a bully, a victim, a vampire but no one really looks behind the walls and somewhere in there an insult hits home and it hurts.

It started with being ignored and it simply grew from that.

It was all her father's fault. Her mother had never really loved her and her father… well he hated her more than anything. Then he was born and she was forgotten.

He had been a relief and a punishment. Her father stopped bullying her and her mother left with a werewolf but then she was ignored, from the moment Vlad was bought into the world she was ignored and didn't matter; she was a girl, a girl could never compare to a boy. It wasn't like Vlad threw his weight around or anything but Ingrid still felt jealous, she had never been loved but as soon as Vlad was born he was being pampered on every whim. She had never had that. Being ignored like that can have an effect on person; by the time Ingrid reached her teens she was a bully.

Vlad had always tried his best to reach her, be a good brother but she blocked him out, the mental walls were up so high that no one could ever hurt her but no one could ever know her either. She was just so full of rage of jealously because her brother had everything he ever wanted, so it seemed. The truth was –an Ingrid had always known this but chose to ignore it- he never wanted anything he was given, he just wanted to be a normal human boy, something he would never be able to have and then there was their dad, always pressuring him, saying he knew what was best for Vlad when really he didn't know either of them.

Ingrid, he never helped her with anything, never gave her anything and certainly never even cared but he never stopped her either, while Vlad was trapped inside being forced to be a vampire she could roam free, do whatever she wanted while Vlad was sunk, he got everything she wanted while she got everything he wanted; that showed just how much their father knew the pair.

So she locked herself even tighter, kept her heart guarded with insults that would burn anyone who got too close but somewhere within Ingrid Dracula it does hurt and the girl inside just wants to scream even though no one ever seems to hear her.

That is who is behind the walls.

That is the real Ingrid Dracula.
