Prologue
This was it. Kurt Hummel was officially transferring to Dalton Academy. Nervously, he fiddled with his new uniform, trying to fix his already straightened tie. With a final sigh, he turned away from his mirror to look at him.
"What?" he said with a smug grin that almost never left his face, not that Kurt really minded. It was just a part of what made him who he was.
"You look perfect, Kurtie. There's no need to fix anything. Honestly. You look great." Smiling to himself, he took one last look at his new wardrobe before turning to him.
"I knew you were my best friend for a reason…." Kurt teased as he laughed and got up to grab his arm.
"Do you think we're ready for this? Honestly? Dalton's a huge school, and let's face it, we're not exactly used to that kind of environment…."
"What kind of environment are you referring to exactly, Kurtie? The wedon'tcareaboutwhoyouare environment or the let'sgetalongkumbaya thing they have going on? 'Cause really, they're two separate-OW, KURT!" Laughing, Kurt pulled him out of his bedroom and shut the door behind him. He laughed as well, putting his arm around Kurt's shoulders as they made their way downstairs.
"C'mon, you kids! You're going to be late. Westerville's ways away and we still have to load your gigantic wardrobe in the car, Kurt!"
"Relax dad," Kurt laughed as he made his way down the stairs. "We're here." Burt laughed with his son and his best friend for a second before leaving. Not long after a second of silence, Kurt turned to his best friend, who still had his arm around him.
"You know, when we actually get there, you're going to have to learn not to be so over protective of me. I swear to Gaga, you're worse than my dad sometimes."
Sebastian Smythe just laughed as he pulled his best friend out of the house and into the unknown world of Dalton Academy…. Together.
