Starcrossed Chapter 3:
Helen POV:
As they were flying through the clouds I saw many shapes in the sky. I realized this was how it should be without all the houses and rules and gods. As long as I was with Lucas I couldn't think of anything that could go wrong. Soon they got to the Great Point, where they would leave Nantucket. It seemed so small Helen thought, after seeing from this view almost every single day of her life, too small. Lucas was looking at her, silently asking her if she was a ready. Together they left the only home she knew for a long time.
As I flew down to the Ocean, the water looked different, almost peaceful. They flew more freely than ever. It didn't even take them more than 30 minutes to reach Fiji. She looked down and says the white quiet sand. As white as the rice that Claire kimono-wearing Japanese grandmother makes. Oh Claire she thought, Jason and Claire got over and talked Jason told her why he had been avoiding her all this time, to protect her. The thought went from her mind when she saw Lucas waist-deep in the water. "Come here!" he yelled smiling. "You'll want to see this" Slowly and reluctantly she went toward him. Helen did not like the water; it seemed to be wanting to drown her ever since she was a little girl. Even with her new powers of controlling the water she was held back. Holding both her hands he led her to the clear water. When she was at the edge, she willed the water to form a bubble around her and Lucas. "Deeper he said, then she saw it a blue and green seashell that almost seemed to be glowing in the water. Helen reached out and took it. Then realized that it was glowing. "It's beautiful." I said. I meant it; this was now the 2nd gift that I got from Lucas. The first was a flower that was taken from the world I created, Everyland as Lucas and I called it. It was the only memory I had of it. I looked at Lucas and knew that he was thinking of the same thing. "I wanted you to find it yourself, because it only glows underwater." said Lucas. "Wow" I said. Then I willed my underwater bubble to fly up and land on the sand. He was right, "How?" I asked quizzical. "It's called a mining shell, they are very rare and beautiful, and they only appear to those most worthy." Lucas recalled. "That explains a lot." Helen said and smiled.
