"The Big Question"
By J.T. Magnus, 'Turbo'

There are questions in this world, big questions. The kind of questions that people devote their lives to finding answers for. Questions like 'Why do hot dogs come in packages of eight and buns in packages of ten?', 'Why do they call it a building when it's already built?' or 'Why do you drive on a parkway and park in a driveway?' Questions that are less wide-spread but just as big to those who know to ask them; 'Does Wade ever leave his room?', 'Why does Shego keep working for Drakken?', 'Is the blond boy really as stupid as he seems?' and perhaps the biggest one...

'What are the odds, really, of the director of an international crime-fighting organization being named Director?'

It's a question that crosses all lines of gender and justice, with the criminal and crime-fighting communities united in the search for an answer. I should know; I'm the one who holds the answer they're looking for. Officially, my name is Elisabeth Director, better known as 'Betty' Director, head of Global Justice, usually called 'Madam Director' or 'Dr. Director', never 'Director Director' unless whatever smart-aleck does it has a death wish. Outside of myself, there's not much chance of any of them finding the truth - I took great care to purge every record I could find when I was appointed Director of GJ; I even had an 'electronic warfare specialist' sweep the internet and when he was done I made sure he was assigned permanently to Antarctica so he couldn't let anyone else know what he had found. Some people might consider that cruel, but I didn't get to where I am today by taking chances without first doing my best to stack the odds in my favor; it's the same thing. As far as everyone is concerned, as far as all records now state, my name is and has always been Betty Director. As many questions as it raises, it keeps me from ever having to deal with what would otherwise be a much more troublesome problem as I highly doubt anyone would respect 'Director Betty Flintstone' as head of Global Justice.

Even if it's not proper for a woman of my age and position, I still hate my parents for that name...
