Hey all! Just saw RE:A. I'd been looking forward to it for a long time: not only am I a fan of the previous three movies, but of Wentworth Miller as well, and he of course did not disappoint. The 3D was good too, so if u havent seen it, go now! Because this little ficlet will confuse you otherwise.

Just a little moment I thought up between Wenty's char (Chris R.) and Alice. Not necessarily romantic, just cute...ish.

I do not own RE or anything related it it. Enjoy, plz RnR!

He couldn't suppress his grin as they stood in the armory deep below the prison.

Alice let her gaze travel over the walls of weaponry, and he saw, for the first time in the few hours since he'd met her, that she could in fact smile.

Chris Redfield met her gaze. It was intense…it was always intense. He could tell, from the moment he'd caught her eyes with his own as he stood in the cell he'd been confined to, that this woman was no-nonsense. He'd tried to be a gentleman—he'd thrust out his hand, but she had made no move to take it.

It was his attempt at normalcy in a world that was now so incredibly devoid of it. She had simply looked at him, with those intense eyes, and he knew she was not one to mess with.

She was strong, she was quiet, and she seemed very much troubled. After his release from that damnable cell, he decided to save any casual conversation with her—or anyone for that matter—for a less stressful time. Besides, the sudden realization of being re-united with his sister had his mind reeling.

Now, in the dim light, surrounded by his favorite toys, he felt a strange warmth at the sight of Alice's smile. He knew she was smiling with him and not at him, but it felt good nonetheless. Her eyes met his again….still intense.

"Shall we?"

His grin widened.

"Ladies get first pick. Just try to leave a few good ones for me."

She nodded, and began snatching pistols, shotguns and ammo from the shelves. He watched her deliberately pass on a machine gun.

She looked at him.

And smiled again.
