A/N: A short (not really humorous, which is unlike me) story that takes place after chapter 60 of the Shingeki no Kyojin manga, this isn't what is going to definitely happen, but you know... My predictions... Oh well... Erwin is my waifu of all time, so chapter 60 /really/ bummed me out... Enjoy please! It is in Erwin's point of view...
"Erwin Smith. You are sentenced to death by hanging. Your charges are for treason, mass destruction of public property, and murder of innocent civilians."
Nobody understood. If they knew the main initiative, I wouldn't be killed- no, I cannot be afraid.
"What do you have to say for yourself, Commander?"
"Many civilians died because of my actions- but their death was a sacrifice to save humanity-"
"We lived in peace for over 100 years-"
"If the Survey Corps took no action, you would probably be dead."
Silence fell in the room. I hit a weak spot. They may act like they care about the well being of the Human Race, but they were really a group of drunken pigs who bathed in wealth. Money is the root of all evil. If I turned the situation in a way of their favor, I might buy myself enough time to live until Levi comes up with a distinct plan.
"I don't care about myself." The king muttered.
"Then why are you in the interior. Why haven't I ever seen you outside these extremely protected walls? If you gave a damn about your people, you would go out there and see what life is like for yourself. You have never seen a titan. Hell, I bet you don't even believe in them. Just a silly little fairytale your parents told you as a kid, eh?"
The king spat on the floor. "Shut up, I say! I have important duties to fulfill here. I am sick of you. You will be hanged first thing tomorrow morning."
"It will be my honor to entertain the king with my death." I said, letting each word slither out of my mouth, coldly.
I was then dragged out of the room with my knees scraping the floors. I had been dragged around all day. The cloth that covered my knees began to be threadbare, my once neatly pressed shirt became wrinkled and stained with blood. I was tired. I was weak. And I was afraid. I was genuinely afraid, for humanity's sake.
