Just a Memory
The Twoleg church bells rang aloud
The kits played in the forest now
Some elders part of ThunderClan
Still remember deep inside their minds
The silent hope from long ago
That their old home wouldn't die or go
This new place was alright they thought
But how could they forget the great majesty of the highrock
Overlooked by Fourtrees hiding part of shiny Silverpelt
The orange moon caressed so lightly by the green of newleaf sweet
Oh how they missed their olden home that now was just a memory
The sweetness of the silent moors
In which WindClan once freely roamed
They once were there and thriving well
And running wildly all the time for moors have few a tree
And sadly all the WindClan cats reminisce of that old land
And say like whispers lost in time: it's just a memory
RiverClan, you clan of water rushing in blue streams
Every drop of water in their rivers fed the tender saplings
But now your old home is not yours
O how you wish to see the place that never more will be
And like a leaf blown from its tree
The RiverClan cats sigh:
The place I knew and loved and thrived is just a memory
ShadowClan, distant, forlorn,
Lost to all who search for you
The memories some cats have of your muddy landscape vast
Though you are not existing
Are memories that echo "come back home and find my soul"
But sadly all these memories are only what are mindfully considered
And not what to be seen
Distant, lost to time, now just a memory
