Naruto, Sasuke, Ino, and Sakura have been best friends since they were kids.
Sasuke, Kiba and Naruto are living together, while Ino, Sakura, and Hinata live together.
Naruto had recently been giving Ino special treatment, and they were hanging out all the time, spending any spare time they may have had together. He was always taking her out to get ramen or taking walks with her.
Ino got home from working at the hospital, and was in a bad mood. She had been working for 2 weeks straight because there was a lot of help needed. Everyone was on missions and they repeatedly got injured and needed medical attention. She hadn't seen Naruto in a while either. She ended up lashing out at Sakura, who had been in a bad mood as well, probably because she had been working so much, too. They got into an argument, and Ino ended up yelling, "I'll just leave for the night! I'm sick of this arguing!"
Sakura sighed, "Ino, I'm sorry! Don't leave."
Hinata, being the quiet and civil one, attempted to stop their arguing.
"S-Sakura, I-Ino, we shouldn't really argue... Times are tough, b-but..." Hinata said, being interrupted by Ino.
"I'm going and that's that! I'm going to Naruto's!"
Ino ran out the door with tears in her eyes. She didn't like to argue, but sometimes it couldn't be helped.
She approached Naruto's door, knocking rather hard.
"Oh, Ino! What's up?"
"Sakura and I got into an argument."
"Again, huh?"
Ino nodded, and Naruto gestured for her to come in.
She sat on his couch, sighing heavily.
"I'm really sick of the arguments. Oh, hey, are Kiba and Sasuke here?"
"No, they're not. They both got sent on a mission yesterday and won't be back till the day after tomorrow."
"Ohh, I see."
Naruto nodded, sitting next to her.
"You look exhausted." Naruto said.
"Yeah, I was hoping I could stay the night here. I don't want to be around Sakura for now, but I don't want to be alone either. I know you're always here for me, so I came here."
"Of course I am! I promised you I would be."
"Thank you."
"You should go lay down I bet you're really tired from working all damn week, and last week too."
"Yeah."
She walked into Naruto's room, and laid down on his bed. He followed shortly after.
Ino laid on the bed, and Naruto sat next to her.
He decided to lay on his back next to her.
"I have a question." Ino stated, not looking at him.
"What is it?" Naruto questioned with a puzzled expression.
Naruto looked at Ino, but she didn't look back.
"You treat me better than anyone else. You're always taking me out to lunch or taking walks with me and just generally spending all your time with me."
"Yeah, so what's your question?"
"Why do you treat me so specially?"
Naruto blushed.
"Well, you've been one of my best friends since we were kids, and you were always the one that was there for me."
"sure, but that doesn't quite explain it."
He blushed harder.
"Well.. I, uh... it's because... I, uh..."
"Naruto, you can tell me anything."
"I like you."
"Y-You what?"
"I-I like you a lot."
"heh! You loser." Ino said, smirking.
"I like you too."
Naruto's face turned beet red.
"S-So do you want to go out with me?"
"I'd love to."
