"Oi, Hagrid ov'r here mate," the man called from the bar, gesturing for Hagrid to come over.

Hagrid checked the time wearily, knowing that he was to get home to her soon but figured that a couple of drinks couldn't hurt.

"I was telling my mate here bout yous new lady," he said swishing his drink around carelessly.

"Ahhh... well -"

"And i reckon its funny we've neva seen this bird of a lady,"

"Ahhh...well-,"

"Where she about?"

"She's ar'way at the moment but i am expecting her any day now,"

"Good, good, we shall have to meet her soon,"

"Ahhh... yes but for now i must be off,"

"Oh, do - must you?"

"I'm 'fraid so," and on that note Hagrid turned away from the bar and headed for the exit in which cries of 'farewell' and 'safe journey' could be heard.

Reaching his front door Hagrid exhaled deeply preparing himself for the arrival of his fluffy lover. With a huge grin on his face and his eyebrows arched high above his eyes Hagrid banged the door wide open, although his smile quickly faded and his eyebrows dropped, as his cabin appeared empty as usual. Not even Fang's bark could be heard. It was another evening of disappointment in which he would most likely end up drinking his night away as he had done the past three night. Hagrid stomped forward no more than three steps when he heard the all too familiar cry of a bird, he flashed around as his heart sped up. "Home at last," he cried before he moved close enough to stroke against her fluff of feathers. Hagrid could smell a putrid smell coming from Hedwig but it didn't bother him for she was home at last, all he could bring himself to say was, "You dirty bird;" before breaking into a deep chuckle.
