Ginny Weasley lay in bed, her red hair bright in contrast with the white pillow.

Lying next to her was her boyfriend, Harry, and earlier that evening, they said three important words to each other for the first time.

"I love you."

The connection was made.

With Harry's arms around her, Ginny fell asleep right away, a smile creeping up on her face as her mind succumbed to sleep.

That night, she had the weirdest dream she ever had, one she will never forget it.

Ginny pushed her hair behind her ears as she stood up, white mist all around her.

She looked at the flat land, confusion written all over her freckled face.

"Hello, Ginny."

The Weasley jumped as she spun around, coming face to face with another redhead.

Immediately, comprehension dawning, Ginny gasped, her hand coming to cover her mouth in surprise.

She looked at the women, just a few years older than her, it seemed.

The person did not look unlike herself, and she would have found it ironic if she were not so puzzled.

"I know this is kind of surreal," the women said with a knowing smirk, "but I wanted to meet you, since it seems you and my son will be together for a long while."

Lily Potter smiled sweetly at Ginny as the younger girl lowered her hand, her brown eyes wide.

"Um… hi," Ginny said, slowly processing the information she was being given.

"I wanted to thank you for watching after Harry all this time and for waiting for him to get a clue. Also, for keeping him in check all those times he felt guilty or anything," Lily said, taking Ginny's hand in hers.

"I know we left his life way too early, but I think he's turned out to be a wonderful man and I think I owe your mother a thank-you for that, too. And all your brothers get my thanks as well, for being like brothers to my boy, Hermione too.

"Oh, and don't forget to give Teddy a kiss for his parents. They wanted to come too, but only James and I could do this, this time."

As if on cue, James Potter sauntered out of the clouds, a grin on his bespectacled face.

Ginny would have thought it was Harry had it not been for the eyes not being green; those belonged to the women next to him.

"Ditto, Gin," James said as he put his arm around his wife, "can you give Harry a kudos, from me, on his excellent taste in women. Us Potter men are far more attracted to you red heads."

James winked as Lily rolled her eyes.

"We don't have long, dear, but we just want you to know that, if we were alive, we approve… though why anyone wouldn't, I don't know."

Ginny smiled, her questions over the last few days now answered.

"Tell Harry we love him and that we'll be watching over you lot," James bent to hug Ginny, planting a fatherly kiss on her cheek before Lily hugged her tightly as well.

"Was this all in my head? A dream?"

"Yes, but that doesn't mean it's not real," Lily winked.

The two started to walk off but before they could disappear, Ginny yelled, "Thank you!"

"Your welcome and, oh yeah, don't let Harry pick all the names, you can have your say as well," James yelled back before vanishing.

Ginny woke with a start and sat up quickly.

She turned over and shook Harry awake, starting to tell him the whole dream before he could put his glasses on.
