My Rose,

Words cannot express my concern for your health. When I heard that you had been in the accident, I panicked; I truly thought you had died. When I rushed to the hospital to find you unconscious on a hospital bed, I cried. Your father also spent time praying for you to get well. My Christmas wish is for you to get better and to heal. Your wounds will heal with love and patience. I know you can do this Rose, your father, sisters and I are behind you 100 percent of the way. Your little sister, Elizabeth asks me every day when you'll be home. Your accident has brought out things in her that I've never seen before. Before the incident, she would have had days where she would be a little chatterbox, the next, quiet as a mouse. Now, she talks all the time. Thank you for that Rose. Emily, your twin sister has defended your honor quite a few times. She loves you Rose. Your father, the admiral of our navy, cannot stop thinking of you at work, neither can his colleagues, they are behind you Rose.

I wait for the day you come home; we'll have a party for you, and all your friends will come. I get letters from them all the time when Emily comes home on the weekends. The letters are of well wishes, and general 'how are you feeling today?' The school also waits for your arrival. The principal has expressed her concerns, but we will cross that river when we get there, won't we? I have news about the girl who pushed you. She's in juvenile detention. Your father happens to be friends with that girl's family. I cannot stand the one girl, but the other is your friend, and I respect that. I hope this letter finds you. Below is where we all signed our names. We all want you to come home safe and sound and in no more pain. The entire staff misses you, Sadie especially. I think you'll receive a hug from her when you arrive.

All our Love,
