September: Harry begins his last year at Hogwarts

December: Death Eaters attack Hogsmeade, Hogwarts put under lockdown

First Onslaught: The first phase of the where the Death Eaters begin attacks throughout London and the Light Side is divided into those who follow Dumbledore, and those who follow Fudge.

1998

January: Death Eaters sightings more and more frequent

March: The Daily Prophet undergoes a change of staff, pro-Fudge propaganda

May: Knockturn Alley blockaded and invaded by Ministry personnel under Fudge's regulations

June: Harry graduates from Hogwarts

July: Fudge passes War Time Regulations stating anyone who has familial or friendly ties with any previous or current Death Eaters must report to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, file a complete history check, be available to Auror owls at all times, and cannot leave the country

August: Knockturn Alley burned to the ground under Fudge's orders after finding a passageway to Malfoy's Manor beneath an alchemy shop

September: Battle of Warwick, Head Auror Norrington Rockwell is killed, Fudge declares War has "officially" begun

October: The Aurors and Order of the Phoenix join forces despite Fudge's voiced displeasure, Dumbledore declares safe housing for all witches and wizards at Hogwarts

December: Hogwarts attacked (Slytherins aid in Death Eaters' infiltration), becomes a stronghold for the Dark Side, Flitwick, Filch, and several students are killed

1999

January: Battle of The Ministry of Magic, Fudge exiles families in league with Death Eaters from the country

March: Battle of Euston near King's Cross, Harry Potter is taken by Death Eaters and killed at the hands of Voldemort, Head Auror Adam Oates is killed

May: St. Mungo's is attacked but not taken

June: Battle of Diagon Alley, becomes a Dark Side stronghold, Gringotts overtaken and abandoned, fortunes lost when goblins flee

July: Flint's Keep is destroyed in an Auror Raid, Death Eater's move into Montague's Estate

August: Head Auror Walcott Bertrand killed in an ambush escorting Fudge to his personal fallout

September: St. Mungo's is attacked again, but remains untaken

2000

March: Battle of Hyde's Park, Hermione Granger killed

May: Head Auror Samuel Edderborg assassinated

June - December: Exodus of witches and wizards begin

December: Battle of Bayeux, Head Auror Alastor "Mad Eye" Moody killed, France, French Govern and Ministry agree to join forces

Second Onslaught: The second period of the war where Death Eaters mount massive strikes throughout the UK and select areas of France and the massive exodus of witches and wizards begin.

2001

March: Death Eaters mount massive attacks across Europe, Scotland, Ireland, and France are taken by force, Head Auror Nymphadora Tonks killed

2003 - London falls

Third Onslaught: Voldemort's ascension to power, the fall of the UK and Western France, the breaking of the Order, and the disbanding of the Aurors.

2004   

January: Dumbledore killed when Order/Auror HQ attacked.

February: Fudge takes control of the Order, Head Auror Kingsley Shacklebolt killed

March: The Order splits into factions, one follows Fudge, the others don't.

April: Fudge killed by Auror turned Death Eater.

Reign of Terror: Voldemort's Reign stating purebloods who did not fight against him in the war are free to live under his strict rule alongside Muggles.

2005   

February: Voldemort ascends to power and asserts that people will live under his rule with harsh restrictions. All Aurors are to report to previous Ministry HQ in London, receive an Auror mark, and are ordered to disband. Any Auror who disobeys is executed, many flee the country, others go into hiding

April: Selective school at Durmstrang begins under Voldemort's orders

2006   

March: The Prophesy is made

2007   

January: Terry Boot, Sally Ann Perks, meet Daphne Greengrass, The Resistance begins
