"You're asking me to be the new Gryffindor Quidditch captain?" Roxanne asked ecstatically.
"Yeah. I'm in my 7th year, and NEWT studying is time consuming. I can't do Quidditch anymore, and you're the best substitute," Tyler Wood replied breathlessly (he had just come running out of the library to catch up to Roxanne). "So, will you do it? It also means you'll have to hold try outs for a new chaser. Oh, and we have a new seeker."
"Yeah, I'll do it," Roxanne answered without hesitation.

"Right everyone, shut ya' gobs," Roxanne called out ruthlessly.
Unlike the stories she had heard from Aunt Ginny about Harry's first try outs when he was a captain, everyone shut up and faced her straight away; every body was afraid that if they didn't, they would end up on the wrong end of a very bad and humiliating Weasley prank.

No body on the pitch looked right for a chaser to Roxanne: none of them had the right built. But they would have to do.
Sighing, the only dark skinned Weasley lined everybody up, and instructed them to warm up by doing ten laps of the Quidditch pitch. They set off, and Roxanne watched them intently, trying to decide with ones to pick off and which ones would go through to the next round – some were obvious, like Augusta Liveen, who couldn't stop wobbling.
Most of the good flyers were on their third lap when Lily came prancing up to her. "Hey, Rox, sorry I was late."
Roxanne stared down at her cousin in disbelief. Lily couldn't fly at all. She would be the worst chaser ever.

Lily Luna Potter was full of ups and downs, and there was only one thing that everyone was sure about her – that she most certainly did not inherit her parents skills at Quidditch.

"Uhmm… what'cha doing here, Lils," Roxanne asked nervously. She didn't want to have to turn away her cousin.

"Wood made me seeker before he resigned. Van Dyke dropped out just before he came to make you captain. I was there and he named me seeker," came Lily's proud reply.

'Bloody hell' Roxanne growled in her head.
