Hi there! This is my first fic, so I decided on doing a short one. Any comments are much appreciated. :)

Lucy's hands tightened around the steering wheel as the sound of blaring sirens filled her ears. From the corner of her eye, Lucy saw flashing blue and red lights. The telltale signs of a cop. Great, she thought as she pulled over to the side of the road. She sighed as she reached over to open the small storage compartment where she kept her license. Just as her fingers closed around the small rectangular card, she heard a tapping noise. Straightening up, she snapped shut the compartment with her license in hand and glanced to her left to see a uniformed officer's torso, his knuckles rapping on the driver's side window, signifying her to roll it down.

Grumbling to herself, she pressed the button to roll down her window. She knew it was a bad idea to have an attitude with a police officer, but Lucy couldn't help herself. She was on her way home after having a TERRIBLE day, for multiple reasons. To think of it, Lucy didn't even know why she was being pulled over. She wasn't speeding, she hadn't left her blinker on by mistake, and she certainly wasn't intoxicated, last time she checked.

"Ma'am, do you know why I've-"

Lucy cut the cop off in the middle of his sentence. "Why no, officer, I DON'T, as a matter of fact, know why you've pulled me over. Why don't you enlighten me? And would you care to make it quick? Because I've been working ALL DAY, and I just want to get home SOMETIME TONIGHT-"

"Lucy," the officer said.

"And then, when I get home, I have to cook dinner and clean the house, and on top of that, my day has been HORRIBLE, not that you care, I'm sure-"

"Luce," he tried.

"Seriously, I stepped in a huge pile of gum on the sidewalk in my BRAND NEW hundred dollar heels, accidentally spilled hot coffee all over myself, and got hit on by the PERVERTS that I call my colleagues, and-"

This time Lucy was the one who was cut off. "WHAT? WHO was hitting on MY WIFE? I'll kick their ASSES!"

For the first time, Lucy craned her neck and looked at the face of the cop who had pulled her over.

"…Natsu," Lucy said in a deadly voice that made Natsu take a small step back. "What the HELL is wrong with you?!"

"Heh… heh heh… I saw you driving and I thought I'd surprise you…" her husband said meekly, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.

"…You're sleeping on the couch tonight," Lucy said monotonously, and with that she put her car into drive, revved the engine, and accelerated, nearly running over Natsu's foot.

"Wh- Babe! C'mon! Don't be like that!" he called, before cursing and running back to his police cruiser and driving after her, apologies racing through his head.
