I stood and looked at myself in my vanity mirror. Today was my first day as a junior at Bathory High. My name is Costas Cavanaugh, and I'm your typical gothic teenager. I looked at my outfit to make sure I had everything right. I had on Black Skinny Jeans, my Converse shoes on my feet, my Bullet for My Valentine t-shirt, and my skull earrings. My make-up looked fine; I just needed to fix my black and red hair again. It hangs below my shoulders and my bangs cover one eye. I had to admit, I looked good today. Especially at 6 A.M. which is not the ideal time that I want to get up at, but oh well.
I grabbed my phone, iPod and school bag before I went downstairs. It's going to be different not seeing any of my friends at school. At least they can text me so I'm not quite alone. I told Mom and Dad bye and headed to school.
Hey what's up? On my way to school, wish you and Jade were here with me. I texted my friend Regina.
Hey, we miss you too! Tell us if there are any cute guys at your new school if you see any ;)
I laughed aloud. She could be so immature at times, but that's one of the reasons that she is my best friend. I'm going to miss hearing her talk about every cute guy that walks by.
Tell Jade I said for her to keep an eye on you. XD.
Oh ha ha Costas. Lol. She said okay.
I gtg, I'll text you all when I get out of school. K?
K! Bye! Good luck!
I turned my phone on silent and put it in my pocket. I looked up at Bathory High. It looked a little intimidating when I first saw it when I moved here a few days ago. I have to keep reminding myself that this is my school, and not some prison- that I know of.
"Henry!" a girl screamed.
I looked in that direction and saw a tall boy hugging a girl, who seemed to be choking him in a hug. I rolled my eyes and kept walking. Preps were so annoying. I made a mental note to avoid them at all cost, hopefully this school isn't full of them. I walked to the office and got my locker number and combination. The lockers were red, my favorite color. I smiled, so far, I like this school. I put my stuff in my locker and glanced down the hall, I saw a Goth boy standing a few lockers away from me. He was gorgeous. Especially with how his black hair fell over his eyes.
"Hey, Vlad," the boy from outside stood next to the Goth kid.
"Hey, Henry," He smirked. "You have lip gloss on your neck." He glanced in my direction and slightly nodded.
I blushed and looked back in my locker. So far, today is good. I'll need to tell Regina and Jade about Vlad. Even though I only know what he looks like and what his name is.
"She must be new," Henry said. "Why don't you go say hi? I saw you nod at her."
My heartbeat quickened. Was this amazingly cute Goth going to talk to me? I hope I don't ramble like an idiot. The bell rang and I sighed in relied. It seemed like coincidence that the bell rang as I began to worry about being an idiot. I walked to my class and almost gasped out loud. In the back of the room, by himself, was Vlad. He looked at me and gave a small smile and gestured toward the desk next to his. I sat beside him.
"Hi," I said in a small voice.
"Hey, you must be new. I'm Vlad," he stuck his hand out.
I shook his hand. "I'm Costas."
There was a slight tingle when our fingers touched, like a jolt of electricity. He must have felt it too, because he took his hand away quickly. The teacher began to talk and I turned my attention to the front of the room.
