Rainfall
I do not own Final Fantasy Seven or any of the characters that come with it. Square Enix does, lucky bastards. Weeeeee. My first fic! Feel free to flame it, because if it really is that bad, well I guess I deserve it. XD Flames don't bother me, I am a pyromaniac anyway. (The fact that I've been tempted to write a few myself helps with that I guess...)
Rain
And the rain came down. Falling from the heavens, a gift of healing, a gift of hope. Each raindrop was pure, as nothing else could be, each crystalline particle blending smoothly with the others. Two people stood in the rain, the beautiful rain, the eternal rain, letting it soak their hair and clothes. One was a lanky redhead, with a style all his own. This man walked to the beat of his own very obnoxious, very loud, music as the saying goes... His long, fiery hair was barely restrained by a thin leather strip, though the rain had flattened the spikes a bit. Despite the drenching weather, Reno was smiling like a kid at Christmas. His companion, a petite blonde, was leaning against the alley wall, letting the water run down her body in rivulets. She seemed to have an aura of control about her, clothes pressed and clean. Her conservative dress contrasted Reno's rather unkempt appearance.
"Its gonna be okay, 'Laney."
The blonde smiled softly at him.
Reno's eyes traveled southward, and prompted him to make a comment:
"you're wearing a white shirt!" he sang in a falsetto, sing song voice.
Elena responded by bending down and scooping water from a puddle and flung it at him. Reno backed up, then sprinted and jumped in a puddle that could be considered a small pond. Elena marched up. Reno backed nervously away. She moved closer. He found himself against the wall, his collar in the blonde Turk's fist, and her lips on his.
He snaked his arm around her waist and pulled her closer. It might have lasted for years or seconds. Reno was too distracted by the intense game of tonsil hockey he was now playing. Work should be much more fun if he could use this against her... maybe he could get her to kiss him again.
Wow. I so did not mean for that to happen. This was going to be a friendly banter type deal, and then... yeah. Well this turned out. Anyway, hit that pretty lavender button and tell me what ya think. Please?
