Ah, how I love the wonderous angsty depths that is AkuRoku. The canon way, that is. :D

So here's a little drabble 'bout memories, because that's what most of KH:CoM and KHII are about. Kinda. Ish. And because it so fits Axel and Roxas. Like whoa.

Oh, just so you know, that last line is from the game. When you fight Axel as Roxas. And dude. Axel was a total bitch to fight. D: Anyways, enjoy and I'll love you forever if you leave a review!

Memories were strong things, Axel thought. Because Axel remembered Roxas and every little thing about him.

He remembered how his favorite color was blue. Blue this, blue that, sometimes Axel thought Demyx was rubbing off on him.

He remembered how his favorite thing to do was sit atop the clock tower and watch the sunset, how he liked to talk and watch and just plain be with Axel.

He remembered his smile and the way it was lopsided just a little, to the right.

He remembered their first kiss and how it was perfect, oh so perfect. They had broken apart, gasping for air, and Roxas had looked down at his eyes and murmured, 'I love you.'

He remembered how he smelled like the world just after it rains, with some kind of fruit thrown in for kicks.

He remembered his eyes and how they were like windows right to his soul. Oh, how Axel had loved looking into those eyes.

He remembered his soft blond hair and how Roxas loved it when he combed his fingers through it.

He remembered how he snored, just ever so slightly, and how Axel used to tease him about it.

He remembered that when he hugged Roxas, they molded together perfectly. Almost as if they were meant to.

He remembered how he would correct grammar and spelling like it was his job. Poor Demyx.

He remembered when he left Axel in that dark alleyway, his last words being "No one would miss me."

He remembered how much pain those words had inflicted. So much pain that Axel couldn't talk, couldn't call out, couldn't yell to him, hug him, kiss him, tell him that he would miss him so much.

And, as he remembered all of this, he looked at Roxas. Looked at that blond hair, those blue eyes, that slim frame.

Looked and saw hate. Pain. Confusion.

He was the same Roxas alright, but something had changed.

Because Roxas didn't remember.

But Axel did.

And it hurt. It hurt like hell.

"I'M SO FLATTERED!"
