Act VI

6.1 In this Act, the audience learns that the entire play was a story actually being read by the famous Bella Swan to her daughter Renesmee. Bella asks her daughter what she thinks of the play. After Renesmee tells her that she loved it, and falls asleep, Bella's husband, Edward, comes in and says it's his favorite play. Both Edward and Bella go downstairs to help set up for Rensemee's birthday party.

Isabella shut the book quietly with a soft thud. She then turned to her 6 year old daughter, Renesmee, and asked her, "Did you like the play?"

"Yes, but do fairies and magical flowers exist?" she asked with the cutest look on her face.

"No, honey, sorry. The only mythical creatures you might ever come across are either Jacob's friends, the shape-shifters, or our family and their friends, the vampires," she said in an affectionate tone.

"Aw, that sucks! I wanted to meet Puck. He sounds so cute and hyper," Nessie exclaimed, and Bella could almost see her stomping her foot on the ground if it weren't for the fact that she was lying down on her bed, under the covers.

"Yes, well, maybe in your dreams you can see him. Now rest up. It's your birthday tomorow and Jake is bringing you a surprise," Bella said, already seeing the question Nessie was going to ask in her eyes.

"What, what, what?" Nessie asked excitedly, about to get up.

"Oh, no you don't! You will find out tomorow," she scolded slightly, pushing her flat again onto the bed, and tucking her in. "You need to get your rest."

"Fine Mom. Goodnight." she said sleepily, her eyes drifting closed.

"Good night sweetie, say hi to Puck for me." Bella said gently, and kissed her on her forehead as Renesmee fell asleep.

"Is she asleep?" a voice sounded from behind her. She turned and saw her husband, Edward, standing in the doorway, looking lovingly at the both of them.

"Yes, she loved the story too," Bella said, looking back at Renesmee's sleeping form.

"Me too. It's one of my favorite plays," he said, walking up and wrapping his arms around her.

Bella turned around and kissed his cheek. "We better get downstairs and start preparing for her birthday," Bella said, tugging at Edward's hand and pulling him out the door.

"Goodnight, sweet dreams honey." She said adoringly before turning off the light and leaving the door ajar. Bella then ran downstairs to start helping with the surprise.
