She can hear the rain pounding against the roof; she's in the Fire Nation, where it rains rarely. There isn't any humidity, even.

Her insomnia keeps her up for hours into the night, long after Zuko and the entire Fire Nation has been asleep. She's been awake for so long, she's not sure if the sun will rise in the morning or not. Plus, she's been craving sushi. She figures sushi tastes better in the rain, too.

Ten minutes later, she's sitting with her feet in a pond with a bento box in her lap, looking up at the clouds. The chefs had eagerly defended their food, even at odd hours of the morning. She chuckles as she remembers dodging butcher's knives just to ask for some simple sushi. Sushi, of all things.

"You know, you're forgetting your chopsticks." Katara looks up to see Zuko standing over her, grinning as he holds some familiar long wooden sticks. She grins and takes them; she's been eating with her bare hands. She giggles when he lays down next to her and rain begins to cloud his vision.

"Why are you here again?" she asks, popping some more sushi into her mouth.

"I wanted some sushi." Zuko replies, stealing some sushi for himself. A turtle duck waddles up onto the ground and begins to peck at the bento box lying on Katara's lap. Zuko laughs as Katara throws the sushi into the pond and the duck quacks.

Eventually, she falls asleep on his shoulder. The rain ends, and the sun shines. Zuko and a turtle duck eat the remaining sushi as Katara unknowingly sleeps on.

The next time Katara woke up, it was raining again.
