Active Apathy
Zuko wasn't the only one who had to make a difficult decision
Ty Lee continued to pull at her feet and hands – all four limbs still securely fixed to the floor – and said, "Well… that went well."
"For who?" Mai returned, standing and straightening the bulky skirts around her legs. She jumped the last two steps, and made her way down the room's length, passing her friend without a second look.
"Where are you going?" Ty Lee demanded, when it appeared she wasn't going to be receiving any help.
"You think I'm going to waste good, tempered steel on getting you out of that rock?"
Ty Lee blinked, then smiled. "All right, go get one of the Dai Li."
A suspiciously nondescript, "Mm," was all the reply that reached her ears.
"Mai!" she called frantically, craning her head back and just barely catching a glimpse of the Kyoshi uniform as it floated out of the room. "You can't leave me here!"
Mai stuck her head back through the door, and said easily, "This is for all the cracks about my life-choices."
Then the heavy stone portal slammed shut, and Ty Lee was left alone with her thoughts.
Well, someone has to wander in eventually…AN: Thank God i got that out of my system...
