I own nothing
"Hey," said Connor, turning away from the video game to look at his friend, "you hungry?"
Desmond, his friend, turned back to him.
"Yeah."
Connor had invited Desmond over to play video games for that afternoon. Desmond was going to have lunch and mostly likely dinner at the Kenway residence.
Connor went into the kitchen, Desmond following him, and opened up the fridge. He looked around and couldn't find anything that looked good.
"There's nothing in here," said Connor, closing the fridge with a sigh. "Unless you want a sandwich."
Desmond shook his head.
"Then, what are we going to have?" Connor asked.
The teenagers stood there, thinking hard, before Desmond smiled and snapped his fingers.
"I got it!" Desmond shouted. "Let's order pizza!"
Connor brightened.
"Yeah!"
Connor went over to the phone and ordered two large pizzas; one with pepperoni and one with just plain cheese. They waited for 15 minutes for the pizzas to arrive. Once they finally arrived, Connor and Desmond dug in. Desmond got the pepperoni while Connor got the cheese.
"I'm done," said Connor, leaning back in his chair. "I'm full."
Desmond looked at the box of pizza. Only three pieces were eaten.
"You only ate three pieces," said Desmond, turning back to his food.
"They were big!" Connor cried, sitting up.
Desmond rolled his eyes.
"Whatever."
Connor stuck his tongue out at him and turned to his water glass. It was empty.
"I'm getting more water," said Connor, standing up.
Desmond nodded. As Connor walked over to the sink, Desmond quietly grabbed a piece of cheese pizza. Once the water tap was turned off, Desmond threw the piece of pizza. It hit Connor squarely in the jaw.
"The hell?!" Connor yelled, grabbing the piece.
Desmond answered with a roar of laughter. Connor glared at first but then smirked. He threw the piece back and it hit Desmond in the face. Then, it was Connor's turn to roar with laughter.
"So that's how we're going to play," said Desmond in a quiet tone.
Then, he grabbed a piece of his pizza and threw it at Connor, hitting him in the chest. Soon, it became a full blown pizza war. Pieces of pepperoni and cheese pizza were flying everywhere.
"Hey!" Desmond called from his place behind a chair. "Give up!"
"You wish!" Connor called back from behind his chair.
They threw a couple more pieces of pizza before an angry voice stopped them.
"What the bloody hell is going on here?!" Haytham, Connor's father, yelled.
Connor and Desmond gulped. Haytham looked around the kitchen. Pizza grease spots were everywhere and the boys were covered with pizza and grease spots.
"Pizza fight?" Connor told him.
Haytham turned to him, anger in his eyes.
"A pizza fight?" Haytham asked. "What the hell persuaded you to have a pizza fight?!"
"He started it!" Connor yelled, pointing to Desmond.
"Hey!" Desmond yelled.
"It's true!"
"Enough!" Haytham yelled. "I don't care who started it! Both of you are going to clean it up!"
A 'yes ' reached his ears soon.
"Then, you both are taking showers. And no dessert after dinner for the next three days."
Connor groaned but nodded. Then, Haytham left. Once he was out of earshot, Connor and Desmond chuckled.
"So worth it," said Connor, going over to the cabinet under the sink, grabbing a mop and trash bag and tossing the bag to Desmond.
"Definitely worth it," replied Desmond, catching the bag and beginning to pick of pizza.
