Mirror Mirror

"Mirror, Mirror on the wall..." Tom Riddle sang out, his voice echoing around the Chamber of Secrets. He had found the place not three months before, letting loose the monstrous snake inside and relishing in the havoc he was currently causing. What did his care if some filthy little Mudblood died? It was more than they deserved in his opinion.

Exploring the Chamber was a fascinating past time in which he was more than happy to indulge in. And it happened, just by chance, that he came across a mirror, much like the Mirror of Esrised, in Salazar Slytherin's personal quarters. Such a strange and wondrous item, shimmering in its silver frame. He guessed, the first time he peeked into it, that it showed far off places, other dimensions perhaps. For he had never seen such a grotesque creature in his life. Pale, with its blue veins showing plainly underneath its skin. Red slitted eyes and a mouth full of horrible teeth. The creature stood and walked as a man, although its claw like fingers were tipped in long nails and its bald head gave off the resemblance of a misshapen dragon's egg. The thing's voice was deep, but stuttered with hisses that made it hard to understand completely.

He shivered, toying with his own fine raven locks and frowned. "Who are you?" he finally asked, after watching the creature pace back and forth, spouting foolish dribble.

The reflection paused, its eyes glowing eerily. White lips pulled back into a gruesome sneer and a chilling cackle filled the air. "Foolish little boy. Don't you know? I'm you of course. The mirror shows what's in your heart and what your future heart will be if you continue on the path you have chosen. Tell me," the creature hissed, coming as close to the rim as he could and reaching out with his clawed hands. "Are you pleased?"
