Sesshoumaru was standing in the garden of his father's castle, when he noticed the little boy lurking around him.

- What's up?

- Will you come to play with me, brother?

- Me?

- Father says I can't go out alone, but he is busy.

- Well... If Daddy can't go with you, I guess.

- Yay! I knew you would come! Hurry up!

Inuyasha was already waving from the huge wooden gate, and seeing the older brother slowly walking up to him, his impatience shew up and he started running out through the endless field. He just ran and ran. Through hills and forests, and he felt his brother behind him in every moment. He couldn't stop, until he found a field with high, old trees and sealike green grass. He couldn't resist the urge to somerset in the silky grass. He lied among the tall spears of grass.

- Having fun? - Sesshoumaru came up to him.

- Come on, let's play something!

- You are fine byyourself.

- You are stubborn! Father always tells me you never were a kid! Wasn't it boring? Do you even know how to play?

- Of course.

- Then play with me!

- What do you want to play?

- Who's stronger, bro! - Inuyasha jumped on his brother, who could have defeated his brother easily, but he wanted him to be happy and satisfied with himself - he let Inuyasha jump around him, he even let the kid topple him. They seemed like two pups practising a fight. Finally Sesshoumaru got the kid on the ground puffing. He slightly smiled.

- You lost.

- That's 'coz you are older! It wasn't fair! - said the kid sitting up and scraching his left foot. Sesshoumaru lied on his back, looking at the fluffy clouds up on the pastel blue sky. His brother couldn't stay calm - he poked his fur with his big toe. Sesshoumaru glanced to the michievously grinning Inuyasha. A sudden warm breeze tickled their faces, and from a nearby tree a couple of petals floated to their clothes and hair. Inuyasha shaked his body to get the light pink and blue petals off, then picked some from his brothers hair end fur.

- Hey, bro... - he asked quietly.

- I'm listening. - came the same like reply. - Will you be always beside me? I don't want to feel that... nobody's behind me to catch me when I fall.

Altough Sesshoumaru was a little surprised at the young kids words, he gave Inuyasha a warm smile and naturally answered:

- Of course. I'll be always your brother.

Inuyasha's face cheered up, and he returned the smile.
