"Ohhh…no, no, no," House said skeptically. "You are not backing out of this now."

Cuddy hadn't said anything, but her slightly mortified expression towards his bike was an easy read for House.

"I'm not backing out!" Cuddy quickly replied, mostly out of impulse to uphold her pride. It seemed childish and she hated to admit it, but she didn't want House thinking she couldn't handle the bike.

"Then hop on."

She walked slowly closer to the bike. House pulled out something for her from behind the otherside of the bike. It was a helmet, and seemed to be new.

"I think red is definitely your sexy color—or rather—your most sexy color."

Cuddy smiled. This was her helmet symbolizing House letting her into yet another part of his life that she never had gotten to be a part of before.

"Thanks," Cuddy replied simply.

She gave him a sultry kiss before hopping onto the bike behind him. She secretly thanked herself for choosing a looser fit for the pants today.

House felt her hands run delicately across the outer edges of his thighs before settling around his waist. He knew that Cuddy was increasingly warming up to the idea of this and would pay off in sexual favors later.

With that move he started up the bike and pulled out of Cuddy's driveway. He had no idea where to take her, so he just drove aimlessly hoping something marginally interesting would appear along the way.

As they began to pick up speed, Cuddy began to enjoy the ride. Although her grip on House never loosened, her shoulders did, and she relaxed her legs as her knees were locking up because of the tension. She was slightly elevated behind House, so she rested on her chin on House's shoulder.

House picked up on the quick path to relaxation as the bike ride progressed and let out a small smile, knowing Cuddy wouldn't see. The chin on his shoulder sparked a thought, and House knew just where to take her.

They rode for another 15 minutes until House pulled the side next to a small stream, bordered by large rocks.

"I have a newly found appreciation for your nagging to get me on that bike," Cuddy said with a smile. She had never thought House would be a nagger, but she realized that when he wanted Cuddy to do something, he could be a real woman about it.

"I do not nag. I am just adamant in my quests," House said with a jokingly defensive tone. Cuddy recognized that tone and had developed a playful eye roll as the immediate reaction.

"So, what are we doing here exactly?" Cuddy asked.

"Wilson lost his balls recently, figured I could start looking here."

"Showing emotion about a loved one walking out you does not constitute ball loss. Really, though, why here? I refuse to believe that Gregory House allows the fates to drop him off in his destined location."

"Nothing super special, this was just the first place I went when I got this bike, seemed like maybe this would be a nice place for you too."

House had a way of trying to dehumanize his acts of kindness and compassion, but Cuddy saw through that. She always had. Most people took his comments on the surface by inflection, but not her. Cuddy focused on the words. He was more human than most people, including himself, gave him credit for.
