Don't waste your time on "What if" (poem)
What if the world changed tomorrow?
What if the sun never again shown?
What if precious memories from our childhood,
Weren't appreciated until we were grown?
What if even then we didn't care?
What if through life we just walked about?
What if we were all mindless zombies?
Who didn't ever do anything but doubt?
What if we didn't have the power to change things?
What if every decision was out of our hands?
What if we were never free;
What if America wasn't a free homeland?
And what if no one ever tried?
What if all we ever did was pout?
Would we ever know,
What "what ifs" are really all about?
People say "what if" is a waste of time, but the truth is, if people did/told each what they meant to say/do in the first place, we wouldn't be sitting around wasting our time, thinking of all the possible "what ifs"
Some of the things I've listed are impossible or near impossible,
But most things in life are subject to change,
So please take this advice I give you now,
Before life's rearranged:
Tell the ones you love that you love them,
Tell your friends you're thankful for them and are thinking of them,
Try not to ever hurt those who for you care,
And ALWAYS be your self because to that, nothing else can compare.
remember: life can change in the blink of an eye
