Hello~! Welcome to my new story, Worst of Both Worlds! I'm still not sure on if I should continue this story or not but this has been an idea of mine since 2010, when The Red Pyramid came out. Even though this chapter is short, tell me what you think! ^-^

*The only character I own in this story is Zelda Ivory, her mother, and a handful of OCs. Everything else belongs to the great mind of Rick Riodan.

Go to New York, she said. You'll be safe there, she said...

I dropped to the ground and covered my head when an explosion went off. Black dirt sprayed on top of me. I raised my head up to see my friends fall to the explosions. Screams and pain filled howls filled my ears…over the blistering ringing that already was there. The stench of demigod blood and broken earth filled my nose. My sword wouldn't help me and neither will my bow. I had no choice...I have to do against the rules. I slowly stood up and closed my eyes. I felt through the never ending darkness until my hand grasp onto something. 'Please let this be useful…please let it be useful…' I opened my eyes and smirked at the black shepherd's crook-shaped staff that was now in my hand. In white, I'm pretty sure that the first symbol meant "death"…yay. But I guess it made sense that the Eye was under it as well. The symbol of life hung down on a gold chain from its base. This staff is definitely meant for me.

I set my eyes on the demons that were attacking the place I've called home for the past couple months. With my staff, I drew my spell into the air. "Ha-di!" I yelled. The ground exploded in front of the demons, surprising them. To the camper's faces, it surprised them as well. "Don't stare at me! Get them! Annihilate or whatever the heck you guys do best!" The campers continued to just stare at me like a deer in the headlights but they soon nodded and went to attack the monsters. I went to join them. I stuck my staff between my jaw and wielded my bow. I set down three arrows and fired at the first demon I saw. One embedded into its eye while the other two hit it in the chest. I groaned. These things just don't die! I hate these…what are they called…? Aw, doesn't matter. These Greeks always make their names so difficult to pronounce. Time to send them back to the smelly Tartarus where they belong.

All the demons were gone, all there was left was their dust and the destruction they caused. I sighed in relief that it was over and turned to see that all the campers and directors were staring at me like I was some kind of alien.

I laughed nervously, "Haha…I got a lot of explaining to do, don't I?"

Let me introduce myself. My name is Zelda Ivory. And I'm the daughter of two totally different mythologies. I got the worst of both worlds…and you're probably totally have no idea what just happened here. Let's take it all the way back to the beginning…
