Ever manifests a car as soon as she walks out of Roman's house. She clutches the little bottle with the green liquid like nothing else matters in the world. Today she drives safely, not breaking any rules. She will not take the chances with the antidote right in front of her eyes. Ever finally makes it to Damen's place thinking it was the longest drive of her life. Damen is already at the door feeling her presence from afar.

"Hey Ever!" he says embracing her in a nice warm hug.

"Hey," she says to him. She blocks her mind; she doesn't want to give the slightest clue of what she is going to tell him.

"I need to tell you something," she says to him. Damen takes her hand, "you know that you can tell me anything." Ever slowly takes out the antidote from the pocket of her jacket. Damen gasps, "Where did you get this from?" he is in shock but Ever can see the excitement on his face.

"Who cares? We'll discuss it later, just try it!" Ever exclaims. Damen opens the bottle and drinks the antidote.

"How do you feel?" Ever asks.

"Not any different," he answers. They both stand there looking at each other.

"How will we know if it worked?" sighed Ever.

Damen manifests the same bowl he did the last time they wanted to test if they could touch. Ever figures it out and pours a drop of her blood in the bowl. Damen does the same thing. They both stand there, holding hands with the familiar shield hovering between their fingers. Damen's blood doesn't spark or burn into ashes like it did last time, it stays the same.

"We did it!" they both exclaim. Damen pulls Ever into a kiss and they have the night they both dreamed of in centuries.
